2 tanks so far and average 17.4 MPG 95% highway miles. They must have been driving downhill with a tailwind at 40 mph to get anywhere near 24mpg. I am hoping for better in the next few tanks but does not seem likely.
Same numbers for me. 17.4 mpg and 95% highway. 1100 miles on the odometer. Manual transmission. Cruise Control set at 75 mph most of the time. My guess is that I would have to drive at 55 mph to ever see anything close to 20 mpg. Not happening.

JL and 21 vehicles tracking a total of 17,600 miles: today it says 18.2 mpg. My last tank was the best ever: 22.4 mpg but that's keeping it at 55 mph and not punching it (80% highway).

I would follow this link from now on and encourage you to register! It's easy:

Also on my 4th fill up and averaging 17.8 mpg. Last tank was the best, with just over 18. Got just over 900 miles on my JLUR. That’s mostly highway miles.

Hi. Anyone have a 2 door JL? If so, what MPG are you getting? Auto vs Manual. I have never had a Wrangler cause I drive a lot and with the lack of convenience features and poor mpg of previous models I never considered one. But now with the JL I am seriously considering buying one as from video reviews I watched, it drives more like a SUV than ever before. The EPA has the JL 4 door and 2 door 3.6 L with the same mpg figures but I think the 2 door should be better since it weighs less. I have seen mpg numbers on this forum for the 4 door but I do not see numbers from members with the 2 door. Almost daily, I check the internet for updates on the 2.0 t as I am hopeful that the 2.0 t with turn out okay MPG. I know Jeep recommends premium gas with the 2.0 t but the manual says it will run on 87. Most of my commuting is 55 mph or less. Thank you

Mine is bone stock with the Bridgestone HT tires that come on some of the Sport models. I'm at about 800 miles doing a 50/50 mix of city and highway with the ESS system ON the entire time. My average MPG is right at 21.3.

For comparison, the 2013 F-150 I just traded in was seeing about 15 MPG. My 2012 JKU Sport S would average about 19.2 when it was bone stock. My 2013 Nissan Frontier CC 4x4 averaged about 16 MPG. So the JLU at an average of 21.3 is mind boggling to me. I'm not accustomed to seeing this kind of gas mileage.

Once the weather is warm enough to turn the HVAC system off, I expect to see even better MPG. Perhaps 22??

On a pure highway trip, there's no telling what this thing would get. Maybe 25+?

It sure beats the pants off any of the 3 Wranglers I've owned in the past. The 8 speed, 3.45 gearing, and ESS system make for a very strong, powerful, yet efficient powertrain. I love it.

Last weeks I aired my tires up to 65 PSI and I've averaged 20.2mpg on my 40 mile one way trips into the office. I was averaging 17.2 at 24psi.

Picked up our JLU Rubicon in mid February up in Tysons Corner, VA. Driving the 6 hour ride home I was very disappointed to see only around 19 mpg for the trip.
But slowly over time and with 1600 miles presently on the OD my wife and I are getting a best of over 23+ mpg, 21+ at the worst. And we both tend to put our foot into it and drive at least 4 mph over the speed limit. This still 4+ mpg short of what our GC gets but I can't complain. So obviously a break in period for us made a difference.
Granted our "around the town" driving here has been without all the slow driving summer tourists. And also there is a lot of 55mph HWY in between villages thru the national park areas. So right now it's like "HWY driving". Summer driving around town fuel mileage still remains to be seen.

My little trailer doesn’t help.

6000 miles, hand calculating every tank I average about 17.5 in a stock Rubi. I drive 100 miles a day with half of it 35-55 (dirt road and country road) and half 75 mph on the interstate 5 days a week. The wife says I drive like a grandma but I don't think I will ever see 20. There's something about the gas down south though. In my JKs I would routinely get 19-21 when I filled up north of Birmingham on trips and about 5 less than that when home on the gulf coast.
