3D Printed Accessories ideas?

Finally got around to making a PETG version of my grab-handle radio/GPS puck mount….

Back with another project to make life just a little easier. Rather than plugging in all the time and messing about with a cord poking out I 3D printed a bit that aligns my phone with this tray I had from an online purchase that hangs off the from of the center storage. I would normally slide my phone in there, but due to the bump from the parking brake lever it sits kind of awkwardly and would only align with the wireless charger but maybe 50% of the time.

There was many a measuring and test fitting but added an outer ring that slides it back in place so now I can just toss my phone in haphazardly and know it will be charging. Makes connecting via Bluetooth easier too instead of waiting to plug in so it doesn't go back to seeking the cord as its last source (Alpine i509.) Adhesive felt over the printed face holds the charger in and gives a nice surface. Charges 100% of the time now.

Someone asked if there was a way to buy replacement clips, some don’t seem available individually. (Even for ones that are, like fender clips, it would be nice to be able to print some yourself).

So I actually removed this from my setup because it would stop charging after about 20ish minutes. From testing it seemed to be heat related. I don't know if the charger I designed it around was too cheap and should of modified the file for apple brand, if the phone case is too thick or the charger enshrouded in plastic was upsetting it. I could pull my phone out, wait a sec and plop it right back in and it keep charging, but made another setup work for now.

Cant test anything right now because I actually got rear-ended a few months back so waiting for the Jeep to come back out of the autobody shop. It's been rough.

The setup also uses one M3x8 bolt to secure together and adhesive felt to hold the charger in 100%. Once I have the Jeep back and things settle getting all the mods back on then I'll post an update with any findings.

Wanted one of those third cup holders since the misses was complaining about our large drinks overlapping. Designed one to still try and allow the parking brake to be engaged when theres no drink in the holder so it doesnt have to be pulled out all the time. It is a little large since its intended for my large water bottles, but did model in a sleeve of sort to slim it down if needed.

I have no clue how I would go about designing something but I have been meaning to get around to doing a 4xe charge port OBA access set up.

The obvious answer is that I should get the original metal door but that piece is 200 bucks vs 80 for the plastic cowl itself.

My local paint shop painted the cowl for me free of charge when I got my half doors color matched.

I was going to break down and by the original door but I can't get over how expensive it is . Plus I hate that he will have the E on it anyway.

I was thinking it would be cool to either make a cap peice that can just snap over the cavity. Especially since there is quite a lot of room in the cavity if you don't put the door with it's internals on. I just need a clean way to hide the package while not in use.

The jeep way out gladiator concept had something similar with an oba set up that left everything exposed. Which is kinda cool too.

I just like clean solutions.

Anyone seen anything 3d prints like this or know where the heck for a beginner to even begin designing such a piece?

If I can figure something out I will probably eventually break down and get the factory door, sand it, and fill in the "E" then repaint.
