it was and that is the reasonAfter Yelchin failed to arrive at a rehearsal on June 18, 2016, he was found by friends at around 1:10 a.m. on June 19, 2016, pinned between his Jeep Grand Cherokee and a brick pillar gate post outside his house in Studio City, Los Angeles, dead from a freak accident.
It appears the open door reverse scenario you speak of was implemented shortly after this accident.
The Jeep seems to agree...392's are notorious for only wanting to go FORWARD, and VERY FAST!![]()
I have a manual gate, get out to open, hold the door in and pull through, get out to close. Auto Park was a PITA, backing a trailer in a tight or jack knife type situation can be easier opening the door to look also. $20 well spentDoesn't putting on your seat belt turn off the auto park? I've never tried the reverse scenario exactly but I know it does as far as going forward. If you really feel the need to drive around with the door open and no seat belt often plugging a seat belt extender into the seat belt works the same.
