I'm anticipating my ordered JLURD will be in sometime around the 1st week of October. I had wanted to install the Mopar Diesel lift but it seems that it's not going to be available for a few months. In the meantime I still wanted to add wheels and 37" tires. Will I be OK for a few months - no serious off-road planned until spring or after lift installed.

You can wheel the crap out of it without issue on 37" KO2s. Other brands may rub worse but the KO2s are pretty great in just about any situation.

Minor contact, full stuff, sway bar disconnected, full street pressure. You won't pop a fender off

Take a heat gun to the plastic protrusion of the rear/lower portion of the rear fender liners to push them away from the tire and you’ll be good to go.

I'm probably going with BFG KM3's or Nitto Ridge Graplers. I probably will only go without lift a few months and probably very little if any off-road in that time.
Other concern is after market wheels and offset/backspace. Anything specific with the larger tires?

Refer to the calculators on tiresize.com as you narrow down to specific wheels. Offset/backspacing needs change with different widths.

To give you an idea about tire width and wheel size:

I have 37x12.50 Patagonia's on 17x9 wheels with -12 offset (about 4.5" of backspacing). I have no rubbing (fenders, control arms, etc). The tires do protrude about 3" outside the fenders though.

You'll scrape like hell when you have passengers if you go with Ridge Grapplers, unless you do the heat gun mod. I never did the mod and rand 37" Ridge Grapplers with no lift for about a year, enough to rub holes in my rear liners. No biggie really.

I rub with the Mopar lift and 37s. Mainly at speed hitting a hole or rock. Yesterday I blasted through a ditch going into my driveway at around 25 mph and I definitely heard the rubbing.

My lift is backordered too. I installed 17x9 Fuel Wheels with a +01 offset and 37X12.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. So far no rubbing whatsoever on road conditions. My lift should be in by the end of the month so I’ll hold off hitting the trails.
