I have a dashcam that I love so that I can go back and check the GPS and view the trail. I've been doing this for a couple of years, but now I'm thinking about a 360 camera for that streetview experience on trails.

I'm wondering if anybody else has done this, and if you have some examples of how the video turns out. Two mounts that come to mind are a roof rack mount and some sort of monopod attached to the rear tire.

There's a lot of examples out there, but not a lot when it comes to jeeps and on the trail.

On my old jku i pulled the head unit and used an after market adapter (i can’t remember the name) now ?????arrgh it had 3 inputs so i ran 2 front one back each front was drilled into the bumper and aligned with a front wheel the back was cetered But that was on a 08 jku rubion uconnnect 4 i think so its likely that it could be done but you run into distortion issues For example if you mounted them on your sliders getting a full 180 i suppose you could mount them on the roof line unless you have a soft top Let us know what you figure out

Thanks for the reply. I did some tests. I tried it attached to the side rhino rack roof mount caster and it worked....but it was just OK. I threw the roof rack crossbar up there and put the camera in the middle. It was perfect....although it's a bit of a pain to get to it.

Just for a weekend, I'm going to leave it in the center. It gives the best picture. Hopefully it will stay where it's at!!
