I'm in the UK and I get my 2019 JL Wrangler Overland delivered on Friday, but am eager to start investigating accessories and upgrades for it. One of my previous cars had a 360 camera system and I loved it. I'm a programmer / electronics engineer so I'm not phased by a technical installation / splicing wires etc as I'm pretty competent. I searched around and found a few posts where people had fitted after market radio's and camera kits, but I want it to integrate with the stock unit. My Jeep has a rear reversing camera already, and I was wondering if I could buy a kit like this from Amazon and replace the output from the stock reversing camera with the multiplexed view from the 360 unit:
Noblik 3D 1080P HD 360 Degree Bird View Surround System
I read that some people needed to get the PAC BCI-CH21, to unlock the camera, but I'm hoping I won't need that as I already have the reversing camera enabled on my unit. I also read that they need to be calibrated using a black and white squared sheet laid on the floor under each camera. I'll be documenting my experience and sharing what I learn along the way, but has anyone tackled this before on a JL or have any opinions to offer?
Many Thanks!
