You're thinking you can buy a similarly equipped, similarly capable new vehicle with a v8 for $30k?80k for a v8 jeep is still 50k over priced
There is nothing special about this v8.

The “The last leadership group screwed up so here's a great deal to put a 5.7 in your existing JLs for a fantastic price! Final Edition”? Where do I sign? They should do a "the last leadership group screwed up so here's a great deal to put a 5.7 in your existing JLs for a fantastic price!" sale because it would be awesome and I'm not quite fully broke just yet.
$40K? I count $7K.I just paid $89K for a 392. Soooooooo $40K depreciation in one week!![]()
Inflation hurts, but you have to admit it's a significant drop in price. My first Wrangler had an original MSRP of $14k. The idea of spending $80k or more on a vehicle as simple as a Wrangler is mind blowing to me.
I bet you walked up hill both ways, too.My first Wrangler had an original MSRP of $14k. The idea of spending $80k or more on a vehicle as simple as a Wrangler is mind blowing to me.
It is. $30k more decrease and it would be fair.Inflation hurts, but you have to admit it's a significant drop in price.
I'm not sure where you've been, but you're thinking the top end Wrangler should be $50k? The Moab was more than that back in 2018.It is. $30k more decrease and it would be fair.
As somebody pointed out in one of the other 50 threads about this topic, the upcharge to 392 Hemi on other vehicles has traditionally been $2k to $8k, including 2026 Durango.
Jeep is raping buyers because people are dumb enough to let them.
welcome to inflation of recent years. We all have these examples. I bought a Subaru outback in 2005 for $21K out the door. Same car today runs in the $40K range. 4 banger, AWD base car with cloth seats. This is the reality we are all facing. My first Wrangler had an original MSRP of $14k.
