With all the shenanigans going on with other car companies I’d buy the 25 now. I’m afraid that Stellantis might follow suit with charging monthly subscriptions for things like remote start and audio apps.

no more rebates for them. the lots of full of them right now. apparently Stella doesnt feel confident that they will sell without that massive incentive. $7500 federal and whatever state was adding on top. when we bought our plug in Pacifica it was like $10k in rebates from federal and CA. neither are offering anything any more. and we mainly bought it for the carpool lane access, which is also now over (as of a few weeks ago!).
Yeah I did some more reading and apparently Jeep is releasing an upgraded Wrangler 4xe for 2026 with more range. Hopefully they've worked out some of the bugs, but the folks who I personally know who own 4xe's actually like them and haven't had many problems. Not problem free, but not the disaster some would lead folks to believe.

they were scrambling to move them before the rebate ended. now that it has, and the epa requirements have been relaxed a bit, they have no reason to keep making them. especially if they were having lots of warranty issues. at least thats what makes sense to me. i guess we'll see...
Jeep was scrambling to sell every and anything, since no one is buying, and Jeep benefits a lot more from selling the 4xe, than the gas Wrangler since Stellantis still has to offset their EU emissions, they either sell their own EVs to offset, or keep buying hundreds of million dollars of C02 credits from Musk, carbon credits isn't a 2 trillion dollar industry for nothing, well in reality it's actually very expensive nothing.

Jeep problem with the 2026 4xe is probably how they will price it since the subsidies are gone, and how many will actually sell without the credits.

There is a very good chance the 4xe was artificially inflating the demand for the Wrangler.

So what are the differences between a 25 and 26? Only thing I’m really seeing is the door hinges, which are slick … but I can remove bolts permanently and the quick disconnect is a great idea, but I don’t know if that’s the only difference I can justify the wait and cost of a 26.

I have a 2024 and I like it very much, aside from the 4xe recalls, which have convinced me to trade it in. The 2025 and 2026 are pretty similar, as I test drove all 3. Not much difference at all.

If I had found a 2025 that had exactly what I wanted in the color I wanted, I would have jumped on it. Unfortunately I had to order a 2026.

So, like others have said, I think if you can find a 2025 you like at a good price, there's really no reason to wait.
