Need suggestions or recommendations on resolving issues with a new purchase of my JL . Has not been a month and the audio system has failed (emits a sound similar to an amber alert), time changes , system will cutoff on its on, screen goes black when in reverse, right passenger door light will show door opened , upon exiting the jeep the audio will continue to play for an average of 5 minutes.

Have returned to dealer and told " could be the audio plug ".

My question JL OWNERS IS this normal? Is this more than an audio plug failure?

Generally the answer to the question "is this normal", in the context of issues with a new Jeep, is YES. Regardless, the dealer should take care of this for you, and if they aren't being helpful, find another dealer.

As James Westfall said, but wow dealer said maybe and did nothing...might be time to find another dealer. Did they actually pull it in and diagnose it or just the service writer 60 second conversation?

Shut engine off. Disconnect batteries. Open fuse box. CONFIRM that all fuses, diodes, and relays are firmly seated into their slots. Close fuse box. Reconnect batteries. Enjoy Jeep.

Actually pulled no codes. But video evidence showed the numerous issues. Another dealership responded "where did you buy it? , you need to go back to that dealer,".

I really hate that, when a dealer won't work on your vehicle because you didn't buy it from them. I've never had to take a Jeep in for warranty work but I have had dealers pull that crap with RVs and both Ford and GM vehicles, so I feel your frustration.

I agree with WXman's advise though. Do that and see what happens. Good luck with the new Jeep, and the problem you had is not "normal".

I've never heard of this from outside of FCA/Stellantis. No experience with RVs though.

All the jeep dealers around here are eager to get my jeep in, even for warranty work. But they begged me to come in for the “free service” at the beginning too.

So far the only issues I’ve had is corrosion on hinges and one door, and the crap Mopar main battery that went at about 35k miles.

It's a new vehicle under warranty. Just let the dealer handle it. If they can't fix it, that is what the lemon law is for.
