2024 Rubicon X -Quieter?

The new Rubicon X is supposed to be quieter than previous models. For those of you with the new X, how does it compare with the JLU you previously had? I’m most curious about the wind and road noise at highway speeds. Thanks

I bet it can only be so quiet. I've sound proofed Jeeps before and put way more products into it than Jeep ever will and its marginally more quiet at best. Unless every window has acoustical glass and all doors are sound proofed I doubt it's much better.

I agree, just wanting to know if there’s an improvement since I listen to audio books to/from work. One and a half hours daily (total).

Funny, I currently have a 21 JLUD Rubicon. The cabin noise is fine except on windy days or passing a semi.

I think the Rubi x will be louder. 2” lift and 35” tires = More road noise.

My dads gladiator rubicon isnt too noisy and doesn’t have sound deadening roof panels.

The rubi x comes with sound deadening top which should help some.

Good thought. I haven’t rode in one that’s lifted or with larger tires.

My JLR-X 2024 is quieter than my JLR 2023, enough to be noticed...

They were both Hardtops with the insulation package

Actually my 2023 JLR was sitting on 35 x 12:50 x 17 GY Druatrac's which has about 2500 mi on them when my 2024 JLR-X came in and moved them to my 2024, so same tires and wheels. I bought my Jeep out of town at Lakeland Jeep in Lakeland FL which is about 105 miles from my home. and I noticed in the drive back home that my 2024 was quite mores than my 2023, even my wife noticed it. The 2 Jeep were near exact duplicates of each other, both a 4:88 gears and auto trans, yes definitely more quiet...I would not say on the order of a magnitude but still it noticeably more quiet...

I drive with my doors and top off. My Jeep is really quiet and I can listen to audio books easily. I use ear buds. They work great and make the Jeep as quiet or loud as you want. My kids wear ear protection and sleep with no noise complaints.

Jeeps have always been

quiet for me...
