I guess we’re going to find out tomorrow if they will rectify the situation. I was outside mowing the lawn when the email came through.

In an ideal world, I’d like the selling dealer to coordinate with my service dealer in Tempe. I ordered it from Peterson in Idaho.

I don’t think anything else is missing based on the fine tooth comb I took to the build sheet.

Fingers crossed they make it right for you!
Hopefully someone or someones (the idiot responsible or 'team' of idiots) will at the very least get a serious demotion for this BS...

Thank you, I appreciate that. I'll post the outcome once I get an answer.

So at what point do we consider taking legal action against Stellantis? I am not ok with being mislead during this purchase. I'm sure there are some members with legal experience that could point us in the right direction.

Anyone else who has recently received a 4 door Rubicon X with 35" tires; did it come beadlock capable wheels as well? When I was looking at the site previously, back at the end of 2023, the "17" x 8" machined wheels w/ black pockets" that are required/selected with the automatic/35" tires/4.56 gears were noted as being beadlock capable. Now it does not make mention of that.

Also, the Rubicon X lists the Rock-protection sill rails; which look like those are black rock sliders, correct?

Wondering if they also changed which wheels are shipping like they did with cutting the aux switches and receiver hitch?
I picked mine up on 3/6 and it had the correct wheels and sill rails. It is missing the hitch and aux buttons but my dealer is installing them. Just waiting on the parts.

Totally agree. I'm unhappy as well, just wasn't aware that it was only the switches that are missing.
Concurred, still crappy; however if it is actually already pre-wired AND has the pre-wire for the engine-on and always-on leads then it is a much easier remedy. Would be a $60 part + $70 part and less than an hour labor for the dealer to fix the issue.

If it doesn't have it pre-wired then it is likely into the $1200-$1400 range for the full kit, which again leaves you without those two leads for accessories, and much more labor for running the wires correctly through the wire grommet.

I’m well aware of the wiring being there, however the hitch and switches are not and that’s a problem.
For clarity, I believe you are referring to the 7pin + 4pin wiring harness for the hitch and they are referring to the AUX wiring being pre-wired.

Hopefully it actually is the AUX wiring, including the engine-on and always-on leads, are already there and it is just missing the $60 switch box and the hitch; as that should be much easier for your dealer to eat the cost and remedy for you.

My hope as well.

Donuts to dollars that AUX wiring wasn’t included. The 7/4 pin wiring for the hitch is present.

Just my guess, I am not a laywer, so take it with a grain of salt but...
You didn't actually pay for or buy the vehicle yet, so Stellantis no obligation here at all and I don't think you have any sort of contract between you and Stellantis.

It would be different if the dealer refused to return your deposit, but that would be between you and the dealer.

It's worth checking though (or having the dealer do it in your case), as that wiring would be 90% of any labor cost, and would give a lot more leverage on getting the dealer to install these, or even make both these installs much more approachable by the owners.

Contract or not, if you had already taken delivery of one and hadn't noticed the change you'd still likely have some grounds to pursue in regards to false advertisement given they advertise them as standard equipment on the Jeep website.

Also not a lawyer :)

Same problem though, you didn't buy it when you ordered. You are under no obligation to buy it when it hits the lot if it's not what you ordered. You have the opportunity to assess, drive, inspect etc the vehicle and then choose to buy it or not. The whole deposit thing is between you and the dealership, not Jeep.

The way that this is setup, it protects them from failing to deliver what you asked for. Not for malicious intent necessarily, they just aren't going to allow themselves to be beholden to people placing orders when it comes to them making changes to their configurations etc. If they didn't have that flexibility, they probably wouldn't accept customer orders because that would be a show stopper.
