I think they used all old style grills on Sport models until they ran out. Check the build date on the door jam sticker. I’m thinking your Wrangler was built several months ago. Just curious, how many miles did your Jeep have on it when delivered?

Built dec 2023. It was a special order that someone didn’t pick up I guess. Also it had 9 miles on it when I bought it

Special order was on the window sticker. It’s a 6 speed manual. I thought manuals were order only.

I bought a 24 Sport S last month. Several of Wranglers I looked at had the old style grill. The grill didn’t effect my decision one way or the other. A couple of new Wranglers had over 200 miles on them and were built almost a year ago. They were priced right but I passed.

So the matte black is an add on right?

Delete the mesh as it is already matte black. Add the grill trim in matte black ($100) and the grill chin paint (anvil $65) and youve got it.

I have a new 2024 Support S that has the old grill and would swap someone for the new grill in hydra blue. I ordered mine in June '23 and received in November of '23.
