So first off, aprox how many employees at the Wrangler facility and how many special orders? This info will decide the math/ratios. I think there should be a "Buy your Jeep tech a beer" apreciation program. I mean a couple bucks from each special order could certainly buy the guys and gals in Toledo a cold beverage??

This should answer the first part of your question (from Stellantis website). No idea about special order vs stock order ratio.

Just got an upstate on my 392XR that I ordered on July 27th. Dealer sent me a printout of his data showing a ship date of Feb 6th! None of the trackers show that yet. My recommendation is that you find the sales manager at your dealership and make a friend.

Yes, I got the ship date(build date) from my dealer. The tracker just has basic info. The dealer gets more detail than customer service.

“Ship date” when you are in D1 status typically means “scheduled for production on” and not the actual “ship from the factory on” date.

Dealer said mine was in paint yesterday with a ship date of 25 January. Tracker today said delivery on 16 February

Tracker just updated after 4 days of being shipped. It should be at the dealer in a week. If it gets delivered as scheduled that would be 8 weeks from order to delivery. Let’s see how this shakes out. ???

Well, I went down to the Colorado DMV and got my temp tag issued so I can drive the 392 home from AEV in Michigan.

A few tips for Colorado buyers doing out-of-state transactions... these things may also apply to buyers in other states, especially if you're taking delivery of the car in a state that is not the same as your state of residence or the dealer's state...

• You may not have to pay sales tax to the dealer (I did not), which may prevent the dealer from being able to issue you a temp tag (my dealer could not issue me a temp tag)
• If this is the case, you will need to go to your county DMV office and get a temp tag issued to you; you'll need your driver's license, sales contract, and proof of insurance on the new vehicle
• IF YOU ARE PICKING UP THE VEHICLE IN ANOTHER STATE AND NEED THE TEMP TAG FOR THE DRIVE HOME, DO NOT TELL THE DMV THAT THE VEHICLE IS NOT ALREADY IN THE STATE... They do not need to know, and this could prevent you from getting a temp tag.
• You may or may not have to pay the state sales taxes while picking up the temp tag, so bring a personal check (I did not, it just cost me $7 and change; I was told that I would pay sales taxes at the time I registered the vehicle)
• When the title work is ready and it is time for vehicle registration, you will need to pay the state sales taxes on the vehicle if you did not pay them when picking up your temp tag, so bring a personal check and be ready for a dry fisting from the government; I was also told to bring a copy of the registration for the old Jeep because I am moving my license plate over from that Jeep to the 392

Honestly, if you are reading this thread because you are currently Jeep shopping and unsure which dealer you are going to buy from, I cannot speak more highly of Jackson Ellis and his amazing team at Glendale Dodge Chrysler Jeep and RAM.

I feel like a bunch of us in the July 27 group just got scheduled for end of January - me, you, baconkittens. All of us the same time (though mine maybe a few days later - paid deposit on the 27th but tracker shows later)… I wonder if something about the scheduling process and when parts were available just meant we got extra screwed on timing

Finally picked up my new beauty today. That was quite a wait. Ordered 9/3 and delivered on 1/21. It was worth the wait. I didn’t get a chance to drive it much today after I got off of work and was able to finally pick it up though. Definitely glad that I will be off work to take it on a nice long drive tomorrow. Was able to get my discounts that I wanted & was happy with my payments.
