Order date 12/9/22- I was told 2-3 months. Has anyone made any changes or updates to their order ? If so in what status and did delay things?

It is my understanding that changes are easily made as long as no VIN is assigned to the build. Someone here a few pages back reported to have changes processes after VIN assignment. (So I guess it can be done. Probably depending how willing the dealer is, get changes applied.)

I was assigned a vin right away. Good to know though. It's so hard not to second guess certain things.

Step 1Research and producing multiple configurations and build sheets
Step 2Waffling on color choice and deciding if the extras like mats will slow down your order
Step 3Observer status on many purchase threads checking for any gotcha situations
Step 4Place order, second guess color choice but the first real shot of endorphin kicks in
Step 5Get a VON and post in the appropriate forums - endorphin levels are pretty high, and you're in the "buyers" group now
Step 6Watching forum threads - easy stage
Step 7VIN Day - woot woot, we're cruising now - start calculating the best case for the build date
Step 8The long wait - this is a tough one. Friends and enemies start to surface…really jealously
Step 9The fork in the road - Step 7 splits you into brown eyes, blue eyes group - it's them and us now.
Step 10You're either fast tracking and/or watching trackers daily hit refresh like a old person at a slot machine
Step 11You're either in production at this point and healthy, or not and physical and mental health issues start to show up
Step 12At this point the fast trackers are literally planning their dealership visit and checking camera settings on their phones to ensure HD quality pics are taken
Step 13The rest of us are now watching calculus videos and determining stats from raw data that is so awful election deniers won't even take it, but we use it
Step 14The refresh button is now into our muscle memory and "check in" threads show us as "iive" almost all day and night, physical and mental issues are elevated and you are liking throwing up at some point
Step 15Fast trackers are taking delivery now and the rest are congratulating them on their success while secretly wishing they were dead or the jeep gets stolen the first night
Step 16F this nonsense, rationalization of the process devolves into chaos. You start looking at other options to purchase available stock, cancel the order, or watch jeep videos to walk yourself back
Step 17You go into build status - oh man, what a rush, it's all good now, what could go wrong at this point? What was I thinking, disregard all the hate. Happy for everyone.
Step 18You're either built in days or the next long wait occurs. Return to Step 10 and start over from there.
Step 19TBD status sets in - the formerly brown eye, blue eye group is now brown eyes with short hair or long hair. There's no logic here, TBD appears like the seasonal McRib
Step 20Brown eyed short hair people (formerly long waiters, f them) are getting their jeeps for no rhythm or reason. Brown eyed long hair (super long waiters) people are now feeling the long-term effects of the physical and mental breakdown that is occurring. Probably should see a doctor or therapist.
Step 21F'ing BESH are posting pictures of their jeeps. Screw them. We say that while typing "congrats, that's a beautiful jeep" - translated to F U, WTF, How does this happen, BS, @&#(*&@!@&)@ - Return to Step 16 and loop.
Step 22No clue - I'm sitting right here drinking Pepto Bismal like coffee and adjusting the keyboard and chair to get more comfortable while my index finger hits refresh
For some of the newer members here - @RAMSTEEL put together a heartfelt 22-Step outline; explaining life with the JEEP Tracker. I found it posted on p. 600

Well my Reign Rubicon was delivered to the dealer yesterday and I made the 600 mile round trip to pick it up this morning and the home this afternoon. It is a really good thing that I got to pick it up today, my preapproved loan at 2.59% for 66 months extension expired at the end of the day today. Reign looks great... The first picture is of the old Jeep saying Hi to the new Jeep. Kind of bittersweet to leave the Sahara at the dealer and take the new one home...

I ordered a Punk'n JLUR order 2 weeks ago but I had to make a new order a week later as I wanted the color changed to Hydro Blue as I already had a VIN. I can still track my original order but I can't track my new order even though I have the VON. Will email my dealer tomorrow to see what's going on.

The whole process doesn’t make sense. I hope something moves forward for you soon.

Your dealer should reach out to the zone rep to see what the reason is for the delay in your order.

Can't tell you..shhh
I just looked at cryptostickers, why I torture myself I don't know, and saw the exact same build as mine, ordered two months after me, with a posted build sheet. There is no rhyme or reason as to how they schedule.

No need. They don't give any answers either.
The whole "ordering a Jeep" process sucks, mainly due to the terrible overall communication regarding the order. If cryptostickers is to be believed the build process is even more bizarre, with orders placed a few weeks ago being addressed while straight ahead/no crazy options orders placed many months ago sit idle...add to that my unfortunate luck with starting out with a terrible bush-league dealer (O'Hara, Falmouth, MA) and having to reorder with another dealer has me sitting with no Jeep after 5+ months. Recently I did a 1200-mile trip with a Toyota 4Runner (rental) and was very impressed with it. Combine my favorable take on the 4Runner with all the Jeep issues I keep reading about on the forum has me seriously considering making the move to the 4Runner...maybe ?

So thanks. This just compelled me to do a chat with a customer rep. I have a case assigned. We’ll see. I went to the below link and started a chat.

I don't have a 4runner, but I do have a 2020 JLUR and I read about all the issues with JLs and I'm sitting here waiting for them to happen to me...but they don't.

The issues with my current jeep have been very minor:
-1 cracked windshield (after 20k+miles) - which I anticipated and have $0 replacement thru my insurance
-The rear driver side running light on my LED went out - brake light still worked. Since it was LED I had to get the whole thing replaced. (just before my 3 year factory warranty was up, so it was covered)
-Lastly, the thing that connects to the rear window for the defroster detached about a year after we got the jeep. The dealership did a shitty job "fixing it" so we just dealt with it for another year. When we took the jeep in to get the rear light replaced, we had them fix it again...this time they opted to get a whole new window for us. Still covered under warranty so no money out of pocket for any of the issues I've faced in the 3+ years of owning my JL.

I love my jeep which is why I ordered another. The JLUR will be the off-road fun toy for my husband, while the JLR will be my daily driver and my off-road fun toy.
