Agreed, it would not make sense for them to install the suspension system on the line, then send the vehicle to the body vendor to take the old suspension system off and replace it. The key word there is that it doesn't make sense, not they are not necessarily doing it.

Based on what I have heard from Jeep insiders, the XR package is installed on the line.

I'm sure the speculation that it occurs at the body vendor helped justify people's frustration with wait times, but... all signs point to it being speculation.

Automotive manufacturers don't screw around with waste, either. They want the biggest bottom line possible, and they are all about cost cutting. They're run by corporations, not the government, after all.

Is it a different format than the build sheet the JEEP Tracker link provides?

My Tracker added a link for build sheet a couple days after the JEEP moved to E status. It is a 3 page PDF that lists standard and optional equipment. Yet no actual codes for each line item. (Maybe the days of coded build sheets are behind us?)
Once you receive your JEEP, you may also find a copy of the sheet in your glove box (depending on dealer; some think they’re extra good at dealer prep and throw it in the trash.)

I meant to type "window sticker" - it was late. Same as what the Jeep Tracker provides, it just wasn't available until late last night.

I threw in the towel yesterday. I got my $2500 deposit back from the original dealership. Drove home in this dark blue 392 from Joe Cooper Dodge in Shawnee, OK. They had a great staff and substantial inventory.

Congrats... but, um, that is black... The DMV wants to see you for a follow-up vision test. ?

Mine spent 9 days in production and didn’t show up as shipped until it was already well on its way. Ship date was 10/27 and it was off the train and waiting for a truck on 10/31 and at the dealer on 11/1.
Trackers show built on 10/21 but on 10/20 our dealer emailed us that it was on a train so there is sometimes a delay in updating.

Probably in JB waiting for it’s turn at the body vendor. What options did you get?

mine went in to production same day and also still is not built, but I know they have to pack up the half doors in the back. I’m assuming that doesn’t really take long but probably a backlog before they get to us.

Yup. When I called the factory to keep it on hold, they told me they were going to keep it with the body vendor.

Well my dealer isn’t seeing anything different. Otherwise I wouldn’t worry about it. But its still sitting there.

What is the exact status code from your dealer's inventory manager? E? F? G? I? J? JB? JS?

Should be JB, since that's where they said they were going to hide it for a week... ?

Nothing the body shop needs to do. All in line options. Except for stupid mirrors. But dealer is saying it is built.
