Haven't posted here in a while, as my updates have been few and far between.

Spoke to my dealer on Monday and got the news that I was in JS status (shipped to storage). I'm calling back tomorrow to check in and see if its been shipped out, as the guy I spoke to expects it to be by then ??????.

I also saw my first Earl out in the wild on Monday, and even on a shitty overcast day, it's even prettier than I had hoped it would be ??(I was bracing for it to be more grey than blue).

I even rolled lucky number 7 on number of changes to hit KZ!

As per usual, JeepTracker by @NDRugby was the first to inform.

I‘m really hoping, with my order placed on 6 SEP, that mine is right behind yours. Only option I have that you don’t is the sun rider throw back top (made by BestTop, I think); but I don’t have the dual top either (BestTop product?) Hopefully it doesn’t slow me down but doesn’t seem to have slowed you down. But I’ve seen zero movement. In the end, I’m really trying to enjoy the ride.

Nah, the prophecy foretold that @Strategist is next after me.

Oh you are doomed to wait an eternity for the side graphic.

I think I have the guy on WranglerForum that has been waiting 160+ days for his 392 that it is due to his selection of the (awful-looking) LOWER body side graphic. ?

My Rubicon JLU has been E status for 9 day now. From what I've seen, E status usually goes pretty quick. Anybody know of any potential hang ups once production starts? I thought once your order goes to D1 to be built, the factory has all parts on hand needed to build your jeep. So I wouldn't think it was supply issue.

XR Package and mopar extras gets installed at the body shop (I think that's what they call it.) and there have been many cases on this thread of people with the XR package being stuck in E for a week+ while it gets installed.

That coupled with the fact that jeep doesn't do a good job updating their tracker...you would have to reach out to your dealership to get a better answer than the tracker. (they're able to tell you where in the production line it is {paint, body shop... ect})

And, I predict that @Strategist will see his Jeep go into D1 at some point soon...

It is like the prophecy foretold. My Sarge Green 392XR would be built before his Sarge Green 392XR. ?
Now that’s just mean!! ?? But I hope you are right. I thought I would pay my dealer a casual visit this afternoon. I’ll post my findings. ??

I think there was (unfounded) speculation that the XR package is installed at the body vendor, but this was never confirmed. It also would not make sense, from a production / process standpoint as the station where wheels and tires go on the Jeep (after the top has gone on, but before the doors go on) can accommodate all tire sizes offered, and the Jeep has to roll on its own off of the assembly line, which means it has to have gearing, suspension, wheels, and tires installed before reaching the body vendor. Fully axle assemblies are also installed on the production line.

Installing a set of temporary wheels (assume stock steelies) and tires would not only tie up materials that could be used for other builds, it would require those materials to be moved back to the assembly line station where wheels and tires are installed from body vendor. Plus it would require the body vendor to remove wheels and tires and install another set. It would also require the body vendor to remove suspension components and add new ones. It would also require the body vendor to re-gear the Jeep. All of this would waste labor hours considering all of these things can be done on the production line. Axle assemblies are assembled before they get to the production line, anyway, so that is the first crack in the XR body vendor theory.

When you put a magnifying glass to that speculation about the XR package being installed at the body vendor, it just doesn't hold up.

Body vendor applies extra decals, accessories like the doors off mirror kit, floor mats, headliners, and inserts dual door group doors / dual top group top into the back of the Jeep.

Jeep also updates the tracker WHEN there are updates. The problem is not that they don't do a good job of updating the tracker, because when there is an update, the tracker reflects it. The problem is that the data that is available is made available is messy and is at such a high level that it creates frustration.

Jeep should make more statuses available, and then there would be more perceived movement... For example, the tracker should reflect the movement from C to D instead of jumping over D to D1. The tracker should also have stops for not only E, but F, G, I, J, and JB as well. Anything further than that might be a little too granular. They need to add KZX back in as well.
