That's no excuse
Fair. I’d get the WiFi, but I feel like this maybe my first chance to take 2 hours off from checking on the Jeep for the first time in 105 days, other than while sleeping, but even then I’m checking on it in my dreams…

Just giving you a hard time about it, your tracker is great.

Ok, sorry, but welcome to step 14...

Step 1Research and producing multiple configurations and build sheets
Step 2Waffling on color choice and deciding if the extras like mats will slow down your order
Step 3Observer status on many purchase threads checking for any gotcha situations
Step 4Place order, second guess color choice but the first real shot of endorphin kicks in
Step 5Get a VON and post in the appropriate forums - endorphin levels are pretty high, and you're in the "buyers" group now
Step 6Watching forum threads - easy stage
Step 7VIN Day - woot woot, we're cruising now - start calculating the best case for the build date
Step 8The long wait - this is a tough one. Friends and enemies start to surface…really jealously
Step 9The fork in the road - Step 7 splits you into brown eyes, blue eyes group - it's them and us now.
Step 10You're either fast tracking and/or watching trackers daily hit refresh like a old person at a slot machine
Step 11You're either in production at this point and healthy, or not and physical and mental health issues start to show up
Step 12At this point the fast trackers are literally planning their dealership visit and checking camera settings on their phones to ensure HD quality pics are taken
Step 13The rest of us are now watching calculus videos and determining stats from raw data that is so awful election deniers won't even take it, but we use it
Step 14The refresh button is now into our muscle memory and "check in" threads show us as "iive" almost all day and night, physical and mental issues are elevated and you are liking throwing up at some point
Step 15Fast trackers are taking delivery now and the rest are congratulating them on their success while secretly wishing they were dead or the jeep gets stolen the first night
Step 16F this nonsense, rationalization of the process devolves into chaos. You start looking at other options to purchase available stock, cancel the order, or watch jeep videos to walk yourself back
Step 17You go into build status - oh man, what a rush, it's all good now, what could go wrong at this point? What was I thinking, disregard all the hate. Happy for everyone.
Step 18You're either built in days or the next long wait occurs. Return to Step 10 and start over from there.
Step 19TBD status sets in - the formerly brown eye, blue eye group is now brown eyes with short hair or long hair. There's no logic here, TBD appears like the seasonal McRib
Step 20Brown eyed short hair people (formerly long waiters, f them) are getting their jeeps for no rhythm or reason. Brown eyed long hair (super long waiters) people are now feeling the long-term effects of the physical and mental breakdown that is occurring. Probably should see a doctor or therapist.
Step 21F'ing BESH are posting pictures of their jeeps. Screw them. We say that while typing "congrats, that's a beautiful jeep" - translated to F U, WTF, How does this happen, BS, @&#(*&@!@&)@ - Return to Step 16 and loop.
Step 22No clue - I'm sitting right here drinking Pepto Bismal like coffee and adjusting the keyboard and chair to get more comfortable while my index finger hits refresh

JLUR in Punk'n orange - ordered 11/3
Manual transmission, premium soft top, and 4:88 gearing (so happy it's a factory option now).

Basically stock but will be taking off my steel bumpers, winch, hard top, 315 BFGs and 4 years of add ons from my 2018 JLUR and putting them on the '23 when it arrives and I use my '18 as a trade in.

One curious and annoying item from the order was that, according to the dealer (I've heard some weird combos do this), since I ordered a M/T, I had to order the towing and HD Aux Electrical package at $1,200 or else the order wouldn't go through. I wanted the spare tire hinge reinforcement but was told that wasn't available either (assumedly for XR packages in flight?). Not a deal breaker but I'm not going to tow and really don't need the HD electrical package. Maybe the larger alternator is nice but does anyone have an idea why this option is a must with the M/T? I'm not going to run a bunch of lights either so what other benefit of the HD Electrical would I get?

My order for a Sport with MT and only Hardtop was immediately accepted. (We will see where it goes from here…..) It may be that such combination ‘requirement’ is needed on the Rubicon.

This may not have anything to do with the individual options; more so it may be the parts that make a combination of options work in a particular trim level (wiring, trim pieces etc).

For a vehicle to be scheduled for manufacturing it takes massive planning, so the correct parts will be at the line when your Jeep gets assembled. No parts searching at the plant. Your parts have to be at the top of the pile when Your Jeep gets built.

As each order gets placed, suppliers get notified as well. They are not just making parts, unaccounted for. Each part/piece has a logistic trail.

Considering all this, it is amazing how well the building process functions.

Status moved to D1 on 10/28 and dealer informed build date assigned is 11/29. He didn't say anything about expected shipping date. Would that be assigned as well when status moves to D1?
I moved to D1 on 10/28 also but wasn’t given a build date or ship date. I’m wondering when those are assigned as well.

picked it up yesterday afternoon, traded in my ‘16 JK @ 97,700 miles for 21k not too bad I guess. 54 days, order to delivery, not bad.
Man that looks good almost went that way but Earl won out and I'm pretty happy with it as well

Hell it could be ? brown and I'd be happy to be in a jeep again.

Your dealer can provide your build date but I think Est ship date will only be available once it is in production.

I was at I for a bit. Then moved to JB (body vendor for add ons), been stuck there for a couple weeks. Dealer and Jeep chat said it should be done/ship 11/12. Neither can explain the change in arrival date from 10/29 to TBD despite having a date they could quote me.
I’m not surprised your at JB a few weeks, I’m sure you are waiting on the damn half doors they don’t have. They haven’t scheduled any with (base uppers at least) since 9/20 and apparently you can’t put in an order for them right now either.
