Yup. I've noticed recently that changesd to TBD have quite often resulted in delivery without other updates. Kind of strange, but par for the course fo Jeep.

Seriously. A lot of the luxury makers do that sort of thing and actually charge a premium for it as an option. I bet Jeep could do that. Plenty of us would fly to Toledo for that. Porsche has a track in Atlanta where you can arrange to pick up your car. Jeep should put some obstacles out back and let you pick up from factory and run their course if you want. Sort of like this:

Let me guess, you have a 2.0L Turbo. This code appears 237 times in jeeptracker and all 237 are 2.0L Turbos. From what I can tell, it is a sales code for that engine. Nothing to worry about I believe.

Yep, Chevrolet does it for the Corvette. Just give me an express lane to pull into, eSign everything, inspect, jump out of the passenger seat and let the wife drive the truck back while I smile for hours driving home. Way better, way cheaper, let the shipping companies catch up or right size to their capability. The fact that Stellantis can't look at that as an obvious option is just disheartening. There are a ton of available warehouse spaces that could be set up at key rail points to accomplish this regionally as well.

Here it is, the dealer called me back in about 10 minutes after we signed everything to sign again so that we could get an additional $500 for the Jeep Adventure Days Bonus Cash. That was a nice surprise.

It was great. My only complaint was the drive on I90, that road is garbage on even what looked like new pavement.
Anyway.
They had everything ready to go when we got there and we probably could have been in and out in about 5 minutes. I really wish they could replace one of the dealers here in our town. We decided to make it an overnight trip and stayed at the Ramada which is right next door and Barry (the guy handling the paper work) came over as we were putting stuff on the Jeep to tell us to come re-sign the new sales contract with an additional $500 off. Our salesman's mom that had recently taken delivery of a HVY Rubicon even stopped but to congratulate us and chat for a bit.
Was definitely worth the 4+ hour drive.
