I am in CO so wondering if they sent 'us Westerners" at the same time If so I should be in KZM along with yoiu... if not hoping yours will arrive SOON
Yeah seems like a lot of Jeeps don't get moved to shipped. I've seen quite a few folks never get notice that it did ship and then a call from dealership saying come and get it

Yea I have seen that too.. Wish they were more specific cuz I need to do my financing and they only lock it in for 30 days, So if it comes early I have to scramble and if it comes later than 30 days I will have to start all over Sheesh

This forum has covered deposits before but we'll refresh the issue.
If you don't put down a deposit, your vehicle is not truly secured in your name. W/o the deposit, you may as well have come down there, helped them spec an order, and walked out as if you were just bored n wanted out of the house.
Eh. This is off-base.

What actually holds a dealer accountable to the deal are manufacturers that penalize dealerships for not delivering a certain percentage of sold-order vehicles to the customer that actually placed the order. This is what keeps dealers from breaking deals, or ordering vehicles in family members', friends', or past customers' names.

In many states, deposits are required to be refunded to a customer if the customer wants to walk away from an order. For example, a dealer here in Colorado can BS you all they want that the deposit on your ordered vehicle is non-refundable, but at the end of the day, they are required - by law - to refund the deposit should you walk away from the deal at any time.

In that same vein, a dealer could use this to their advantage to simply break a deal, keep the vehicle, and refund the deposit.

In states where deposits are not refundable as required by law, there is also nothing preventing a dealer from selling a vehicle out from under the customer that ordered it, and just refunding that customer's deposit.

Essentially, shitty dealers are going to be shitty regardless of if there was a deposit put down or not.

A deposit really does absolutely nothing but provide a (sometimes fake) "penalty" for a buyer walking away from an order.

Until a bill of sale is signed, your vehicle is not truly secured in your name.

Paraphrasing the Uniform Commercial Code:
Until some thing of value (how ever small) has changed hands, a deal is not a deal.
A deal is not a deal on a vehicle until a bill of sale has been signed. Deposits mean diddly squat.

Thanks so now the ship date will be next.. Hope soon and do you have yours yet?
I don't have mine yet :crying: My estimated arrival date is 10/31 but my sales guy said for him it shows 10/20 - 10/25. I sure hope it's this week but the tracker doesn't even show it as shipped.

Our order is supposedly going to be delivered on 11/14.....donvia has an 11/09 date, so we probably have a lot to do with your delayed delivery! Hopefully we all get them before too long, but as you already know....TBD!!!!!
My est delivery was actually changed to 11/02 about 4-5 weeks ago. I just emailed dealer for update to see if mine is also at rail yard (Council Bluffs, IA).

UPDATE: dealer says mine is still at factory waiting to be shipped. Completed build on 9/27.

Yeah I can lock in at 3.99 for 30 days and 4.49 for 90 days (different banks) might apply for both so I'm covered. I would like to see Jeep do some type of cash back financing deal though and the re-finance.

Could possibly pay in full but I want mods/accessories

I'm hoping the date range he gave me was the "arrival" dates and not the "shipping" dates! I don't want to go back and ask so now I just need to get over it and hope that it's arrival.

I can never order another vehicle ever again LOL... this is too much for me.

Does anyone know where Stellantis’ rates are right now for prime credit? I’ve been trying to monitor the securitization market to see where the big captives’ rates are but there’s a lag there obviously, especially given how volatile rates are. Also, a lot of prime deals are done privately so you can’t get the data. The mos tercentenary Ford Motor Credit deal had rates ranging from 3.29% all the way up to 20+% (which had to be subprime). Most loans were 3.29%-7ish%.

I saw them advertising 5.84% in the incentives part of the website so not very good.

Might be able to call your dealership and see if they have more info for you.
