Order the exact same Jeep from one of the largest Jeep dealers in the US by online/phone; dealer allocation seems to factor into it. Let the orders race each other. If Order #2 shows up 1st, fly out there n pick it up. This is, of course, if $$$ isn't a consideration.
If it were up to me, you can have my spot in line.

There are no concrete facts that confirm this BUT the 2-door/manual combo is very slow to produce. 4 doors for sure are outselling (and outproducing) 2 doors. Don't know your build but something to consider for an ASAP Order....if it does indeed matter??‍

I wonder if dealers actually feel the same way about the trackers. It's like they've opened that proverbial can of worms by giving us a half-baked online tracker that only increases calls to dealerships when something doesn't update ?

Having worked in IT for many years this is a definite Catch-22. You want your customers to have information, mainly so they can look up the status themselves and not bug the Help Desk, but many don't know how to interpret the information they have and honestly, no one cares about all the different steps and approvals, etc., they just want to know when their issue will be fixed - and in our case, when the Jeep will be delivered. Everything else is extraneous information. Not enough and people feel lost, too much information can have a negative effect as well.

I think it would be more helpful to have a "workflow" explaining the different steps and the anticipated timeline, etc. In my case, the tracker never showed "In Production" or "Shipped" - it was built and delivered.

We won't ever get the details on why one person's took 6 weeks to be built and another only 3, yet both had similar specs and maybe even both were going to the same location or even dealer. The reality is, that the reasons are most likely very mundane if they are even realized at all.

These supply and production lines are so automated, the computer takes the input and schedules things down the line. A stopped production line costs money, usually lots of money, so your build may be delayed because 'fastener, black, screw-type, plastic' may be below acceptable stock levels and so yours is pushed back to make room for another build that doesn't require that. I would assume that the system would then place you in a hold status until those parts are back in stock or back at an acceptable level and then put you back in the queue, but I have a feeling it takes a person to make that happen and who knows, maybe "Bobby" has had a rough day and just hasn't gotten around to adding your build back in the queue, when he has 658 others that have to be readded.

AAAw you are so sweet (yes I'm a jeepgal) and unfortunately money is the issue
The dealer had 2 Willys that I loved but unfortunately beyond my means so I will keep waiting.. A good incentive to stay healthy LOL I off road as much as possible and my 2020 unlimited is great but lifted so high now that my arthritis is making it hader to get in so hence I wanted to downsize to a 2-door Sport S High Velocity, Technology Package, sidesteps, the 1941 hood decal (in honor of my dad who had the ONLY Jeep Willys in Sweden in 1941 in the Swedish Army and he helped pull the crashed American bombers off the runways in Sweden with that little jeep so its in my blood) Hopefully it will be here before Christmas

Mine still shows TBD on shipping.. production completed 08/23, track is totally unreliable.. dealer just called me and car arrived today (west coast), going to pick it up in few hours hopefully! Good luck to all on their orders.. looks like they are shipping them all out quickly..

Hi folks, my two doors Wrangler just arrived at dealer’s parking lot. But they contact me to say that since I have not bought tread lightly 30 days ago (they have not mentioned before), they cannot give me the previous price. And they are going to add $1500 to our previous deal. Do you guys have any ideas on that? How can I deal with this? Thanks in advance.
