No, really. Look at the build and price for the Willys Sport and the Willys. The former will show BFG tires and the latter Firestone.

I’ve heard that the photographs on the 23 builds are from last year in several cases
in fact sometimes I get a black box instead of the image and that’s what my AutoLand dealer told me

A couple of weeks ago I originally used their 22 build work sheet and then the 23 had the exact same photo on it so I don’t think the photos are updated

Picked up from Gupton Motors yesterday, Renee, Daniel, Walter, and Maynor were awesome! I drove the backroads almost 350 miles and it rides very nice, has plenty of power, build quality seems really good. I wasn’t expecting all the attention it gets though, people commenting and waving, all good!

Looks great! That’s my build also, except I got the painted top. Glad to hear it drove great. I haven’t driven one, I’m winging it lol

Wow, three of us all at the same time. Kind of lends credence to the thought they might build them in relation to where they are shipping them looking to fill up a truck and get it on its way. Probably not true, but kind of make some logical sense.

I definitely think dealer allocation has something to do with it.

Id be down at the dealership demanding the deposit back, or ready to fight whoever denies it. You NEVER fuck with a man and his money, on some bullshit.

On the last day of 2022 builds last month, I cruised into the dealership and said, unless he had information different from the pizza tracker, the jeep I had put a deposit on never got built. He checked and concurred it had been cancelled.

That meant the VIN on order will never be used (eg VIN has the model year built into it) and that means the order is null and void. So I told him to mail me my deposit as I already had an new order in at a different dealership. Tried some BS about they maybe had not cashed my check to which I pulled out a facimile of the check showing it had been cashed the next day by the dealership.


Had not gotten a check so after 3 weeks I rode my bagger down to the dealership. As I dismounted, removed my helmet and got into the main sales area, my sales droid comes running out thinking there is fresh meat at the front door and immediately notices it is I. He blurts out Uhh, hello there...

Summoning my inner Samuel L Jackson in Pulp Fiction I respond with "Where the hell is my money?" which echoed off all that fancy tile on the floor and walls.
Had a check in my hand in 10 minutes..

My 2004 would have been sold in 2003. Punch in that price to an inflation calculator.......

By the same token, A base 2023 Sport S equipped with the Dana 44 rear, Upgraded wheels and Premium audio (similar to my 2004) comes out to $38,570.

I’ve never seen it broken down this way before. Interesting. And thanks for sharing.
