According to my dealership I’m still in D status since June 16th. Anyone know why this could be?

Parts/options/# of doors/transmission/color...we just don't know. Dealer allocation (larger dealers vs small dealers) is another possibility. I ordered a month after you did and am also stuck at D (or C depending on your choice of tracker). We've no control beyond the reaction to our limbo. I survive on a healthy diet of jealousy, Flamin' Hot cheetos and sparkling water.

Just got email this morning from my dealer saying I am scheduled for build week of 10/24... 11 weeks after production started, 14 weeks after order placed. "This is of course subject to change." ?
At least that's some news...

Yup, I was informed on August 23rd that I was in D1 Status.

Has anyone gotten their 2023 Rubicon 392?

Fuck. Like our country's supply chains aren't beyond screwed up already.

So.. they're just going to leave our vehicles sitting in a rail car or a rail yard somewhere indefinitely with no feasible manner of the manufacturer or dealer retrieving it?
I had warned of this scenario several weeks ago. Looks like it is coming true.

This sucks as I expect my jeep to be completed any day now and I live 40 miles from the rail yard in Norfolk. But the rail folks have been getting the shaft the past couple years due to douche bags like Warren Buffet/Berkshire Hathaway (they own over 4 million shares). Their efficiency experts cut half the staffing, who are now having to walk up to 2 miles down a rocky train track to check for issues on extremely long trains and then all the way back, not getting home at night due to longer runs..

The railroads have been making scads of money while decimating their staff. I am hearing they are having trouble getting new employees due to worsening work conditions.
I am not a union fan, but these folks need a fair shake from these robber barons.
This is the one time they have their bosses by the nads.

The other issue is Norfolk is a major hub to Europe. Not only coal to pick up the energy shortages in Europe, but a ton of military supplies going to a certain country in Eastern Europe.. As adults, we have to understand the big picture even if we do not like them.

I am hoping that with the dearth of auto sales there are surplus tractor/trailers available .
or the railroads will smarten up. One report says this strike could cause 3 billion dollars a day in disruptions which is going to cause their customers to tell the railroads to stop screwing around. Hopefully mediation will get this resolved in short order..

Production started 4 weeks ago but I know what you meant. It feels like an eternity.

Ooooh. I read it wrong. Yup, that checks out. +1 week to those numbers for me but when you're talking 15+ weeks, it's irrelevant.
At least you've got something o chew on. Small successes, right?

Yeah, small success…I know things are different these days, but after almost 25 years or my ordering cars, this lack of info, and seemingly random choice of orders to build, sure is a “different buyer experience” ?

By different, I think you mean "indifferent". That's how it feels to me. "We will fill your order along with the other untouchables who spent less than $60k: when we bloody feel like it."

it's only different because you have more information. 25 years ago, you wouldn't have had any kind of updates for your order, OR know about hundreds/thousands of others on the internet to compare yours to.

Nope. You'd just have to patiently wait 4-8 weeks as expected.
