Took delivery of this bad boy today! 10 days ahead of schedule.
So nice. Did you get the power package? I'm thinking of going soft top just to be able to stay in the Willys.

Those are the new ones, I meant the Wrangler 4Xe which has been around now for a couple of years. The PHEV's aren't for everyone for sure, my main point was that they are extremely popular. The hybrid's aren't that much more, in some cases cheaper than a similarly equipped Jeep by the way; lots of other posts on this site, where folks have demonstrated that, but again, PHEV's aren't for everyone.

Tread Lightly can be cheaper, there are affiliate codes here on the site, that can knock that down, and spending $85-$100 to save $600-$700 is an easy button for many, but if your dealer doesn't honor it, then that is their call. LOTS of other dealers out there, using resources on this very site, can certainly help one find the best deal they can get, and that is what this is about - proffering up the best advice as we are all fans of the Jeep!
I'm in over my head! just trying to stay afloat. this forum is so good, but dizzying!

haha I haven't much stamina anymore!
I am going to help you a little bit, because I think you may be looking at the wrong model for your needs.

The Sport is the bare bones model no power windows and locks with the V6 etorque and Automatic options net MSRP price (includes destination and a non-white color) is $40,155 before taxes, etc.
The Sport S adds power window and doors a few other features and would be $43,455
The Willys adds PW/PD, Limited Slip Differential (which you probably will never need in LA), slightly beefier tires, better brakes and suspension LED headlights and fog lights and a few different appearance items for $46,750.

I think the Sport S is probably what will best suit your wants and needs.
Yes you're absolutely right, that was my first intention and what I had years ago. But then I saw the Willys and am turning in knots to get in to one. They just look sexier. Call me shallow. If a Sport dropped in my lap, I'd love it too. May have to "settle" for one. I've lived in the art world al my life and design is a passion and the Willys is smoking'.

I don't think you need to mess with Autoland, but only you know your requirements. It just seems like you are locked in with them and that will limit your options.
I don't think I have the energy to scrap it out "out there". I've got so much on my pate right now. We'll see. I can walk away from them. Curious though wonder what they're making on the deal...it's not just my agent, he's working with someone higher up, so they both get a cut. He's with the Disney credit union, Partners, and if they were throwing shade, the people win the studio would let everyone know.

I originally just wanted a sport s for over a year but I ended up really likening the look of the Willys package. I went in to order a 2022 and missed out on the Willys package and had to wait a few weeks to order a 2023. Picked it up last week and I am really happy I went with the Willys, I love the look!

Totally agree with you on the looks. I must be shallow also, since that is what I ordered. I just went with the more old school sarge color.

Email today (9/8) from Koons saying our Rubicon is in.
Ordered 7/2
UR XR 3.6, Firecracker, painted hard top, leather, LED, headliners, tow package, cold weather, blind spot package, full time 4wd.
Didn't I say "doppelgänger" earlier? Same order date and same order other than the color. Bet we rode together on the same truck.

Looks like a bigger twin to my 2-door, minus the XR package of course!

Edit; just wondering where did you get the preview from? Color actually looks correct for Sting-Gray, unlike the '23 build-and-price configurator and tracker previews.
I took a screenshot of my build off the Jeep website. ?

It's built!!!! Holy Cow!

I knew if I just hit "refresh" on the pizza tracker enough times, it would be built!
Mine is supposed to arrive at Gupton on the 12th. My salesman says between 7th and 12th. Likely on the same truck? Won't be able to make it up to get it until the 22nd tho. :(
