This is the first accounting I've seen on these forums of a dealer supplying any kind of transport details.
My thoughts exactly. Makes me awfully curious if dealers do have the ability to see more accurate shipping details than they let us know about. Obviously that dealer does….?‍♂

It looks like the first three legs are all part of the FCA process of getting it built/shipped. Leg 1 is some sort of shuttle, perhaps to a holding area. Leg 2 is from there to the Mopar Custom Shop. Leg 3 is from there to Nitro Creek, which I believe is where FCA sends everything to get shipped. Leg 4 is from there to Koons.
That clears up my curiosity a lot. Thanks for the details..?

The Jeep Build tool online is (or was) very accurate. My home build came out the exact same for the MSRP at my dealership. It's still a seller's market so keep that in mind. Build your order again online, item by item. Then compare the price to the dealership's price. As of mid-July, the prices were exact.
Then you have their price manipulation, if any.
Any deviation shows you how much over/under you're paying. A $1000 deposit is not a signed contract in blood & you MAY be able to get a refund if they're being shaddy AF. Even if you walk away w/o your $1000 deposit but save $2,500 with another dealer, it's a win. But you start this process all over again.
I'll do just that. thanks for going to all that trouble!

When I do this build on Jeep builder, I come up with $45,450 MSRP before taxes and all the other processing fees. It shouldn't be $6,600 for a standard Willys package. I don't know what you are getting as a "quick order package" Seems to me you are getting charged $2,000 more than the MSRP would be. All the overcharge seems to be in that package.
I'm going to ask.

I would’ve probably never thought to go out of state if I didn’t come across their YouTube page (Susquehanna Automotive). And they even have a transport company they recommend which provides ease of mind for me.
I ordered a Sahara - it has a lot of my desired features standard. But I love the wheels and tires on the Willys, I must admit.

OPTIONS
  • 2.0L I4 DOHC DI TURBO ENGINE W/ ESS
  • 8-SPD AUTO 850RE TRANS (MAKE)
  • BODY COLOR 3-PIECE HARD TOP
  • COLD WEATHER GROUP
  • MOPAR ALL-WEATHER FLOOR MATS
  • SIDE STEPS
The only thing is, is that I have a trade-in, not a down payment. What to do with the car. Not going to sell private if I can help it. Will try CarMax

allcars.com or driveway.com really pay out higher than most in SoCal anyway. Good luck!

No worries. Remember that they're not doing you a favor by selling you a vehicle, it's quite the opposite.

What’s going on with shipping? Feel like my Jeep is in transit purgatory. Shipped 2 weeks ago and was supposed to be delivered Tuesday but then changed to TBD.

Also other 2023 Jeeps have already been delivered in my state this week according to the Jeep website and dealer websites.
Did you call the dealership to ask what’s happening? I wonder if we went through the same dealership… I don’t get much info when I ask about dates/times.

I ordered through Mike at Lakeland Jeep here in Florida. 6% below invoice
@mlz be sure to check Ratbert’s below invoice pricing spreadsheet to make sure your getting the best deal you can.
That is what I did and went through Gupton since they are only a couple of hours away. I think it helps that those on Ratbert's spreadsheet, at least those top ones, know we all talk and communicate and also know we have people willing to travel and fly in to pick up their jeep so location isn't as important as getting a good deal.

I don't think people will go on and on about their personal credit score and the terms of their finances, but the price of the Jeeps is pretty transparent around here, BUT one thing you will quickly see is that there are so many options that each person's Jeep can be highly customizable and then that obviously reflects on price. A "6% below invoice" is exactly that, the actual price is a little less important when you have so many options and add-ons to choose from.

All in all, unless you are getting some wicked deal or using a family and friends discount or something, I don't see a reason to NOT use a dealer on Rabert's spreadsheet. Unless you like paying more money for some reason!

Also, don't forget the Tread Lightly discount and the dealer-arranged financing that can also net you an additional percentage off of the invoice. Finally, I would also say, because it probably needs to be heard by some people, Jeep is selling every Jeep they are making, they don't need to do crazy discounts, and the day of going to your dealer and "low-balling" them, or trying to get some wicked crazy deal at the end of the month so the salesman can get their quota/commission are over - at least for now. These things are hotter than they have ever been and Jeep can't make enough of them fast enough.

Remember, the 4xe is the hottest selling PHEV and was last year as well.

I’m sure they’re still trying to finish up the 2022s
they are building 2023s now. it was in production 8/16 built 8/22 according to the jeep tracker. I picked mine up on 9/1

I was so excited to get my 2023 Unlimited Willys and put the stuff i got for it on my new jeep. But unfortunately the side steps that my husband bought for me didnt fit. turns out we were sent steps for a JK not a JL. so i returned those today and im looking forward to getting my side steps soon.

If you don't mind me asking (and you don't have to answer if you don't want), but the OTD price for the Sport I'm waiting for but the upgraded Willys was 52,000 OTD. The Sport is supposed to be about 6,000 less. T&L 4,800.- No elec. pkg. Was yours similar? The reason I'm asking is I'm not a good haggler, I'm female and doing this by myself and while I'm doing what I can to keep the damage control down, I am afraid of a big rip off. Thanks.
I see your sig says Los Angeles, so maybe dealing with Gupton isn't something you can do, but Renee (and Daniel) handle the online order stuff and there are stories and even pics with her, where folks ordered and then picked up their Jeeps and all the stories are 100% positive. I haven't picked mine up yet, but using Ratberts spreadsheet there is bound to be one closer to you that won't treat you like an easy mark.

There are people from Colorado that have ordered from Gupton's, flew in, and driven it back -again might not be something easy for you to do if you are on the West Coast, but you have the right to get a fair deal and be treated with respect!
