Koons emailed me back today with two screen shots attached. The first one shows a status of KZLD, which Koons says means "In Transit - Delayed". But that KZLD code is not one of the ones listed in the sticky on this forum. Anyone know what it stands for?

Confusing the above, the second screen shot shows a leg by leg description of the transport, and it shows that my Rubi XR was delivered to the Koons prep center at 7:57 a.m. this morning.

Finally, the tracker says my jeep is still in production (for 15 days now), even though it appears that it was actually built and released for shipping on 8/30, and delivered to Koons on 9/8. Hoping to pick it up later next week.

If you don't mind me asking (and you don't have to answer if you don't want), but the OTD price for the Sport I'm waiting for but the upgraded Willys was 52,000 OTD. The Sport is supposed to be about 6,000 less. T&L 4,800.- No elec. pkg. Was yours similar? The reason I'm asking is I'm not a good haggler, I'm female and doing this by myself and while I'm doing what I can to keep the damage control down, I am afraid of a big rip off. Thanks.
Well I ordered a 2 door Willys Sport with only Auto/2.0T and no other options/packages using Miracle Jeep from Ratbert's dealer list got the 6% off invoice and TL so I am thinking around $36-37k or so out the door from my calculations.

I am going to help you a little bit, because I think you may be looking at the wrong model for your needs.

The Sport is the bare bones model no power windows and locks with the V6 etorque and Automatic options net MSRP price (includes destination and a non-white color) is $40,155 before taxes, etc.
The Sport S adds power window and doors a few other features and would be $43,455
The Willys adds PW/PD, Limited Slip Differential (which you probably will never need in LA), slightly beefier tires, better brakes and suspension LED headlights and fog lights and a few different appearance items for $46,750.

I think the Sport S is probably what will best suit your wants and needs.
This is what the Autoland rep sent me, 52,057.74 OTD. I believe it is his idea of the Sport S.

Did you get a Wrangler Sport or a Willys? If a Willys, did you get the electrical pkg that includes elec windows and locks? Thanks!
I would’ve probably never thought to go out of state if I didn’t come across their YouTube page (Susquehanna Automotive). And they even have a transport company they recommend which provides ease of mind for me.
I ordered a Sahara - it has a lot of my desired features standard. But I love the wheels and tires on the Willys, I must admit.

OPTIONS
  • 2.0L I4 DOHC DI TURBO ENGINE W/ ESS
  • 8-SPD AUTO 850RE TRANS (MAKE)
  • BODY COLOR 3-PIECE HARD TOP

I dealt with Koons in VA and got 5% under FWP without any haggle whatsoever. They happen to be my local dealer as I'm in DC, but my guess is that any of Ratbert's dealers would be the same. No need to worry about a rip off if you use one of them, just need to compare because some are marginally better prices than others. Part of the beauty of a forum like this is that bad dealers get outed pretty quickly and wouldn't make it onto such a list. FWIW, I ordered a Sarge Green WIllys 2 dr from them with premium top, rock sliders with step assist, 3.6L MT, Doors off mirror kit, safety group. MSRP=$41,690, FWP=$40,330, their price=$38,313.50 plus tax, tags and $899 processing. Also need to use Chrysler financing which can be refinanced after 3 payments made. Hope that's helpful.
Very helpful! thank you so much! I'll keep these notes.

Will also be my daily driver & a never-selling-it vehicle so hubby talked me into all the bells & whistles:

Tow package
Safety & Advanced Saftey (not sure about this - wasn’t reliable on my Camry XSE & increases maint. costs).
SOT Powerroof (Also 50/50 on this, I drive 1.5hrs one way so will be nice, but I’ll be jealous of all the naked Jeeps when I see them)
Perforated black leather seats
Stainless steel sill guards
Rock slider w/step assist - let’s face it: it was get the step assist or a set of circus stilts cuz I’m short :)
Cold Wx Group for the remote start
Off Road Camera (told this isn’t easy to do at same level aftermarket)

Doors off mirror kit & All weather mats because they are cheaper from the factory.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go plan a funeral for my future paychecks…
That's alot of Jeep. I'd say buckle in for a 6 month wait but you'll likely get scheduled b4 I do. Lmao

so I’m also a female doing my first wrangler purchase and the first dealership I went to was quoting me a price above the online build tool, added things I didn’t want and wouldn’t let me see the POC. I just didn’t feel right about the order and I decided to go with a dealership out of state. Turns out it was the best thing I ever did. I got to add about $1170 in options and my total was 51700 including taxes and fees whereas my original order has a window sticker price of 51,295. And I could only imagine after taxes and fees I’d probably have been at 58000.
Be on your p’s and q’s. And I don’t think it’s even just because we’re women, could just be that they don’t expect first timers to know any better.
Isn't it a fuckin shame we are treated like that...still?! I had a very similar thing happen to me. Actually ordered in June, found out about new colors and wanted to change. Got the run around then he told me it was going to be more. I ended up firing his butt, going to another dealership, and got what I wanted for the exact same price (nothing extra). JERK. He can shove that Jeep where the sun don't shine lol

When I do this build on Jeep builder, I come up with $45,450 MSRP before taxes and all the other processing fees. It shouldn't be $6,600 for a standard Willys package. I don't know what you are getting as a "quick order package" Seems to me you are getting charged $2,000 more than the MSRP would be. All the overcharge seems to be in that package.

2023 JLURXR Gupton Motors 6% below invoice with Tread Lightly. I emailed my build to Renee and she had a quote back to me in 48 hours. Local dealers in AZ not dealing below MSRP! Hoping for 90-120 days for delivery.

This is the first accounting I've seen on these forums of a dealer supplying any kind of transport details.

Seeing all these tracker updates has me really feeling bummed about Canadian privacy laws which I'm usually happy with.

The Jeep Build tool online is (or was) very accurate. My home build came out the exact same for the MSRP at my dealership. It's still a seller's market so keep that in mind. Build your order again online, item by item. Then compare the price to the dealership's price. As of mid-July, the prices were exact.
Then you have their price manipulation, if any.
Any deviation shows you how much over/under you're paying. A $1000 deposit is not a signed contract in blood & you MAY be able to get a refund if they're being shaddy AF. Even if you walk away w/o your $1000 deposit but save $2,500 with another dealer, it's a win. But you start this process all over again.

It looks like the first three legs are all part of the FCA process of getting it built/shipped. Leg 1 is some sort of shuttle, perhaps to a holding area. Leg 2 is from there to the Mopar Custom Shop. Leg 3 is from there to Nitro Creek, which I believe is where FCA sends everything to get shipped. Leg 4 is from there to Koons.
