Another Software Engineer, good on ya brother, I retired from that world when I sold my company in 2000 and have never looked back, but the 20+ years leading up to it were some of the best and most fun years of my life, those were halcyon days the world of IT and I was there.I got tired of checking the pizza tracker constantly hoping to see an update. So I built an app to check it on a time interval for me. If a VIN gets added, an Estimated Delivery date, or the tracker moves, it emails and texts me an update. Was going to try to build it out to share with others, but it's a little bit complicated with the form submission instead of just appending a URL. I'll keep seeing what I can do when I get some time.
In 2011 there was a really good tracking site for the builds that I set up a tracker on. Lots of detail, wish they still had that. I posted some of the data from one of my emails from back then. I actually had a ton of people's Jeeps being tracked through my app. But that was an easy URL to use to track. Easy appending like the build sheet and window sticker links that exist now. But the movement data was equally awesome and painful.
