That makes sense. Build the vehicles, get them out of the way to wait for the Software. SW always takes longer.
Being an Engineer, and knowing that this is a Design Change, you are looking for major sign-offs in the Jeep Hierarchy. They need to make sure it not only works, but is safe.
Considering how this is moving, it's pretty quick.

Seems to me they could get them shipped and have the dealer do the software update.

Just a heads up to anyone waiting on a shipped order. Mine has been in shipped status for 2 months and was finally told yesterday that it's being held in MI with 1000's of others because of damage from a storm. No timeframe moving forward.

Just got official confirmation today that my VIN is on the list of damaged! ?
Was so very much hoping it was just part of a shipping delay bc of the storm issue. Also no timeframe forward or details on the damage, just that it is in line for repairs. ?

Sorry to hear it. Any word on how extensive, how long, or if they need to rebuild a different one for you?

Nada. I do think if it was salvage scenario and a new order was needed that we should already know that. As of now dealer said it is in line for repairs but they have no details on the extent of the damage.

I’m assuming I’m going to get the same news. I found my exact spec at another dealer and they’re selling it to me at sticker and shipping it to me. Hopefully this one goes smooth, good luck with a speedy ETA

Congrats on that! Not sure yet what route I will take. I had a hard time finding a V6 high altitude without the sky one touch when i was shopping, which is what lead to the custom order to begin with. Add the negotiated below MSRP price and I am hard pressed to stick with it. The wait is not going to be an issue, i just would REALLY like to know the damage details and be able to factor that in.

And because of the email i got from jeep saying no update I transferred my down payment back to Robinhood to collect the interest since the way it was worded it’s probably going to be awhile

My email said shipping anticipated in the end of June. But when I read what is going on I have no faith in the system. @Wrangler.ReVeRiE WTF? No transparency what happened with customer service it’s not like you ordered a matchbox car and a wheel fell off. For some of us it’s money they earned by working hard.
Just so disappointed at customer service.
