Hearing about all the folks with a garage full of goodies waiting to put on their new 2023 model year Jeeps (and I've got a few squirreled away myself) got me thinking.... It might be helpful to start a thread where people can post what after-market things you've bought that either don't fit your 2023 the way you thought, or didn't work the way you hoped on your new ride. Hopefully, this will be a short thread with everything you bought working as expected, but it might help to warn others about possible issues.

Seeing as the only difference in the way things fit on a 23 would only be due to that new bracket underneath, not sure you're going to get a lot of feedback in the DIY section.

Think the mods moved this here, though it belongs in general imo.

And other than the driver's passenger's side bracket behind the front wheel and the little 1" flag on the fender, I really don't think anything's changed.

My husband bought me these: https://www.roughcountry.com/rc-jeep-wheel-to-wheel-nerf-steps-rcj1866.html
for my 2023 Unlimited Willys I just picked up as a surprise and the bolt holes did not line up on the drivers side he said. (meaning the three bolts that you bolt upwards on the underside of the jeep) we are going to give it another go today in case we missed something, but I contacted a Rough Country representative and they said they cannot confirm that the side steps will fit on a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited because they haven't gotten a hold of one to test fitment yet.

Hate to say I hope it was a user issue. If the 2023 bolt patterns are diff there are going to be a lot of company’s having to redo their steps. I have a pair on order for my incoming 2 door.

That's exactly the kind of thing I was wondering about. In shopping around online I still see a number of sites, like Rough Country, that still only allow you to shop for 2022 MY accessories and haven't been updated for '23 yet. Amazon is the same way. You can create your own vehicle (a 2023 JL) on the site, but then when you try to filter items that fit that vehicle you get no hits yet. AllMoparParts.com is an exception. They allow you to select MY '23 on their site. We've (myself included) been assuming there is no difference between '22 and '23 but if there is and it's enough to affect fitment I'd like to know as soon as I could.

As some have said, there may not be much traffic. I hope that's the case too. But thanks for the replay and congrats on the '23. I hope you're able to make the bumper work.

Someone mentioned that we could have been sent side steps for a JK model instead but the listing on website order confirmation says jl 2018+

What driver’s side bracket?
It's on the passenger side, and it rolled out in 2022 model year. My 2022 JLUR has it.

It's a metal bracket that is bolted and welded to the frame, that hangs down behind the passenger tire.

Supposedly a crash safety feature to prevent the tire from folding under the car, causing a rollover during a collision.

How far off are the holes? Any pictures of the difference?

This is a fear of mine as I have a set of LOD destroyer rails on order for my 2023.

Um I didn’t get a picture but if you line up one the spaces are farther apart on the jeep than what is on the steps so can’t bolt them on
