Just to close the loop - Ultimately, both batteries were bad. From reading, it seems the aux battery likely killed the main battery over time.

Here's a question though - I know dealers charge far higher prices than your run of the mill shop, but how much are these batteries? Looking at their invoice (all covered under warranty that expires in less than 3 months, thank goodness), they quote $275 for the aux battery and $475 for the main. It seems kinda nuts.
Under $200 for the highest tier from Walmart. Yes, it's Walmart but it has a very good rating and a long warranty.

What were your battery volts before the no start?

I have no idea. I jumped it and brought it to the dealer. The service report said that both batteries coded as “bad battery” so they replaced them.

For shits n' giggles I looked up the MSRP for the batteries. The aux used to be $140 and now it's well over $200. The primary is nearly 400. Insanity.

It is definitely insanity. It’s also insanity that it seems my dealer invoiced above msrp. It’s covered under warranty, but the pricing is out of control.

They tried to sell me on another $600 in fluid flushes and “bacteria air filter” crap too. The vehicle has 18k miles.

I hate these kinds of predatory practices because they prey on the elderly or uninformed.

This is the H7 I put in mine. I paid $240, but that was before the tariff situation, now it seems to be $320, which is nuts.

Ah, yeah, tariffs. All of our batteries come from overseas. That'll do it.
Sometimes I think they’re just raising prices and blaming it on something else, but no matter what the cause, greed or tariffs or inflation, it hits us hard
