Has anybody replaced the two batteries on a new 2022 or 2021 with the 3.6l etorque. Mine is fine for now, just looking into the future, or maybe looking to prevent something that might become problem down the road. What route have y’all gone in regards to replacing the 2 batteries. Main and the secondary battery under the hood.

thanks

The eTorque engine doesn't have a secondary battery under the hood. Just the 48v lithium-ion battery under the Jeep in the back opposite the gas tank, and I think that one would be pretty expensive to replace!

The 48v battery has an 8 year warranty so nobody has had to deal with paying for a replacement to date.

My jeep eToruque is brand new, so haven't dealt with it's battery. But on my Ram 5.7L eTorque I did. One day it wouldn't start and the dash was a Christmas tree of error lights. And it wasn't like it was slow to turn over like a weak battery... the truck was just stone cold dead. Turned out it was a bad 12V battery. Threw a new Interstate in it and it fired right up... all normal. So heads up if you get what seems to be a catastrophic electrical failure... it could just be a dead cell in the battery.

Just go with a good AGM Super Start, from O’Reilly’s.

Maybe he is calling the 48V the main battery and the other one the secondary battery under the hood?

No.. I am talking about the batteries under the hood. For some reason I thought there were two, but now I know there is just the 1.
