30 days so far.
Interestingly, the dealer called today to let me know they now have all the parts.
Service guy says my Jeep will be ready on Monday so I am keeping my fingers crossed that they don’t find anything else to disappoint me.

Jeep Cares actually stepped up for me. They obtained all the part information from my dealer and escalated it to Jeep corporate recourses that handle the part expediting. And they got the ETA moved up from February 2021 to today.
Dang, that's crazy. Starting to understand how frustrating this can be. Great to hear that Jeep Cares was helpful, though.

Update: Dealership called today and said the Jeep was ready to go. Light came back on within a few minutes of driving home.

Not pulling misfire codes now. This code is about a hybrid module. Doesn't really seem like the service center knows what they're doing, but I guess we'll see what they try next. I'll post another update when I hear something new.

Wow they really seem like they’re throwing parts at it til something sticks... At this point I would consider a different, more experienced, dealer service dept.

Good luck and no, I really don’t think you signed up for constant troubles, your jeep will make you very happy for years to come.

What was the diagnosis when you brought it in for CEL? Curious what they did.

Well, first it was a cylinder misfire. That's what caused the blinking CEL. I believe they replaced a spark plug and some sort of intake line. I really should be writing this all down. Now, they think it's something electronic related. There are several other dealerships close to where I live. Maybe I'll take the above suggestion and bring it to a different service center if they can't figure this out. Really not feeling confident they're going to figure this out. Weird week for sure.

Sorry to hear. Might be a good idea to open a case with Jeep Cares. They can help pull some strings and advocate for you if there are issues along the way.

Next thing you know they'll be putting a PCM in it.

Reliable - it is
Tried and true - this is correct
Not a 2.0T - correct
..so it must be better - subjective and untested
Regular engine without all the electronics - those haven’t existed for 20+ years.
Nothing can go wrong with it - literally nobody thinks this
The rocker arm issue and the related damage that this engine is known for doesn't have me at ease . Bought my car brand new about 9 months ago and already the slight noises on starup are enough to make me think if by the time my warrantee goes out something serious will happen on the valvetrain end. The thing is that a dealer isn't going to fix it until (from my experience)it turns into a crispy black color. I changed the oil before the recommended time (about 50% life)and it now seems to be a little quieter on startup. (might be a placebo think maybe) . I've got a feeling theres not enough viscosity in that 0w 20 oil and breaks down before the recommended change schedule. Its possible, if something goes wrong u will end up with topical repairs and nothing more

It's all in your head man, the engine hasn't really changed from the JK engine that takes 5w20 conventional oil. There really isn't much following damage from a bad roller bearing on a rocker arm. You get the arms and lifters replaced on that head and move along. Nbd.

Ok, but which head mine or the one in the 3.6L?... On a more serious note, Isn't 0w20 correct weight ? as it comes with that oil weight brand new and the dealer insists on it. .. I did use 5w20 because of the warm feeling but to me it did seem that its a bit too thin.
