Update.
I start to work with a different dealership, Ill call them dealer B, they pointed out to me that it is impossible for the original dealership, dealer A, to have done the recall on my 2021 as the recall fix and parts only became available on June 1st. Dealer A did the recall in January. After the technician for dealer B ran through the cars computer he found that there two updates for the vehicles pcm and dealer A never flashed anything onto the vehicle when they did the recall. But the issue that I am having may be caused by dealer A installing incorrect parts for the clutch. Dealer B is still waiting for part numbers for the June fix to cross-reference with Dealer A's list but several of the technicians at dealer B think the part numbers wont match. I have an appointment coming up to do the recall with dealer B and will update this thread further.

My Wrangler went in for service work due to an engine misfire. While the Jeep was up there the Dealership decided to do the clutch recall without asking me/getting my permission. After I got the Jeep back and was told about them doing the recall. A month latter i go to tow my 1100lbs trailer down to Springfield MO for the Morre exo and found out that I can no longer get any power when in 4th gear up 3% grade hills. I had to drive the entire time in 3rd gear at almost 5k on the tack the entire trip. This was not the case in the past when I towed my trailer when it weighed 1500+ lbs down to Springfield MO. I told the Dealership about this and they told my im pretty much out of luck and there is nothing they can do about it. I also feel like the jeep is overall slower at accelerating, but did not notice this at first as the dealership took a month and a half to work on my Jeep.

Has anyone else ran into a similar issue since the recall or had any recommendations? At this point I feel like my only option is to either have a preformance shop re-tune the ECU/PCM or regear from 3.43 to 4.88 or 5.13. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

If it helps any, my Jeep was built on November 2021 and is a Sport S with 33s from a Rubicon.

1. The recall "fix" is awful.
2. It's also terrible that the dealer did the recall without your permission, BUT I can completely understand why they would feel compelled to perform open safety recalls on a vehicle within their possession. So I can't fault them for it. In fact, they would be negligent if they chose to ignore a safety recall. For those who don't want the recall, the solution is to keep your Jeep away from the dealer at all costs.
3. I have 4.56 gears with 32" tires and it's awesome. Go 4.56 or 4.88 and you won't regret it.

A re-gear will help for sure. My 2dr 3.45s gears started struggling on any hill when I went up to 33s. I ended up going to 4.88s when I went to 35s and am now on 37s and it's a big improvement.

I’m surprised you got a clutch. I also have a 2021 spot. My jeep has been in the shop for 54 days today. Dealer and jeep customer care say there are no clutch

I agree with the recall being terrible. I on the other hand will fault the dealership on doing to recall without my permission, simply due to the fact that they lied to my face and said that Jeep requires them to do recalls with or without the customer request. They also left the Jeep on and drain my battery when they had it for an oil change, then proceeded to incorrectly charge the battery and blow the fuse array, cherry on top was that they blamed my aftermarket sound system and refused to replace the relay.

Im glad to hear that, I am planning lifting the Jeep and running 37s. If you saw noticeable improvement with a regear that gives me some hope that i can work around Jeeps crapy recall.

I do have the KO2s so they run small for 37s. I think if I ever went up to real 37s or 38s I might have to re-gear again to 5.13.

It sucks they did the recall without telling you first. I'm keeping mine far away from the dealership to avoid that new software.

I suspect your reduced power is related to your misfire repair and not your clutch recall. Any reduction of power resulting from the clutch recall should have an accompanying warning message. What exactly was done to your engine to fix the misfire?

The engine fix was replacing the entire passenger side top end and both cams and cam phasers. Sadly I had a preformance shop take a look at it and run the jeep on their dyno, they came to the same conclusion that the problem is the flash from the recall that causes the towing issue. The preformance shop did state that there is a slightly longer delay from the gas petal being depressed to the computer opening the throttle body. They believe a Banks pedal monster should fix that problem with out having the jeep retuned.

. . . . Any reduction of power resulting from the clutch recall should have an accompanying warning message.
I am not sure that software induced power reduction always has a warning message. My 2020 JL with MT, on one occasion, refused power when attempting to accelerate up a steep mountain switch back. The Jeep was in second, and RPMS had fallen well below 2000. The downshift to first was quick--as was the acceleration, which was then almost from a stop. My eyes were not near the dash so there could have been a momentary message. I thought the the software was in error and should have allowed second gear power. The issue has not repeated.

My Jeep hasn't had 19A revisions but did have the previous MT software set installed before I had switchback problem. Regardless of the recalls, I'm disappointed that Jeep provides so little information about MT software.

If you are having issues with the new software on the clutch, reduce your tire size diameter a little at a time until it goes away.... , ie with the Tazer or JScan... The software is calculating tire spin vs the clutch and interpreting clutch slip. If the tires are lower PSI, or lower height because of weight, & the diameter is set too high, this will effect the calculation and could trigger a message or (I guess) torque output (I do not know about that).

Note: we figured this out, and documented that it works, on the Jeep Gladiator Forum.

My experience with the 6MT is that the re-learn process is essential. I came across this issue accidentally when I purchased and installed the Tazer Mini just to change the tire size. I believe it is important to disconnect the negative for at least 10 minutes, up to half hour, then go drive it and keep it in 6th gear steady on the gas for at 30 seconds. The computer will then learn the process and the Jeep will drive better than ever. I will be doing this soon once I re-gear as well. Also, calibrate the gas pedal.
