Necroing Old Thread for a few updates and to give closure in case more people come to this thread in the future.
I do not have that Specific Wrangler anymore. I moved to a Diesel Gladiator. My wife just Picked up a Used 2.0l JLUR and it also makes the Noise.
For anyone who is curious about the Noise. I never found out what causes the noise. My best guess is its the turbo design. However while I had that Wrangler and my wife's current 2.0l the noise is no cause for concern.
However this is just my observation and YMMV.
