<<SNIP>> It did, however, give a decent whine to the supercharger that wasn't there before. That was cool.
That was the biggest benefit on our diesel trucks too. I like hearing the turbo whine.

Of course, at the time I had myself convinced that the performance and economy were improved too. I was sure I felt the improvement... Sheesh. I felt felt very foolish when I saw the independent test reports and verified them (kinda) with my own unscientific study on our trucks.

It's hard for consumers who are trying to make smart decisions, because they are swimming upstream against tens of millions of dollars in advertising, racing sponsorship, and sponsored internet posts. They pretty much overwhelm the honest engineers who conduct the testing for the science.

Ok I get it… Just a girl looking for some suggestions and letting people like me who thought doing something better will only void your warranty however nothing states it’s required. .
How about not giving her shit and give helpful advice? Isn’t that what this place is for? I wish I could help, beside the obvious calling dealer where she bought it, etc…

To summarize; OP did not strictly follow required Mopar maintenance schedule, dealer provided lifetime warranty is therefore void, OP needs to pony up for new engine. End of story. Waste of money to engage an attorney.
Eh….strictly follow. Define that bc I followed all requirements. Just not recommendations. As stated in book, recommends mopar. Not required. Big in the whole world of law. However, my time may be far worth the fight. Meaning do my own swap and move on as maybe you should too….✌?

so what was the issue? Did I miss that?
Never found what caused it. Just told engine failure and 150,000 miles is about as much life as I should expect. Lifetime warranty got me a new motor but with almost 7,000 miles on this one and I am hearing the sound my last one made that no one could find an issue other than saying heat shield pulling away and rattling. Of which they removed instead of replacing. Then they said exhaust leak from me running something over. Had I ran something over that popped up to hit hard enough under neath to cause damage, I would have known or heard it. Yes I go in the woods often but nothing that has ever caused a hit under neath. I would own it. It’s a risk you take. You break it. You fix it. Not you break it someone else fix it. Anyways, 3 mths fighting over my k & n filter, the law saved me. Thank you Magnuson moss act. So what actually caused it? They never told me. Only said coolant getting in and steaming out exhaust…and you know what that means. Although…..With the recent recalls, I am making sure I have all my receipts from all the code repairs they said I needed but really I needed a new motor the whole time. Bc the codes never changed with any of the repairs the dealer claimed or believed the codes warranted. I’m not sure it was directly related to dealerships as there were 2 different ones involved here. I think maybe they were “‘making guesses and repairs” out of thin air in a hope to fix issue when all the time, it never did. I know in the jeep community I am not near the only one. I just hope they fix whatever it is without having to do some huge motor swap. I love my jeep. My 3 mths without it while the battle ensued sucked. I’m glad to have it back. I just hope it holds up or they get it together…

Not even 4 full years old. But so true…
151,000 miles on it in 4 years? Like people have said, this is not a Jeep factory warranty. You probably have to take it back to the Dealer you bought the vehicle from. Jeep is not going to honor that warranty, theirs only goes to 100,000. And the individual dealer is going to try to find anyway possible to get out of paying for an engine. Go back to the dealer that gave you that warranty (hopefully you got the warranty in writing), and if they refuse to fix it, go back on a weekend day and raise a fuss out in the showroom in front of a bunch of potential buyers about how they are not honoring their warranty...

They had no choice but to swap motor with lifetime warranty. They did try everything to fight it but I did my maintenance and kept all my receipts and logs. The only issue they tried to fight the most was the k&n air filter. Until I reminded them of the Magnuson moss act and threatened to involve the FTC. After I sent that correspondence they approved the engine replacement within minutes. But this new motor with 7k fresh miles is starting with the same faint noise that I heard when I bought my jeep new and none of the shop guys heard it. 2 different dealers. No noise replicated. 🙄 over 100,000 miles later and requires motor swap. All noise coming from right side…hmmmmm. Pentastar????
