If you search threads for Mojito being discontinued you will see many , many threads and predictions of Mojito being discontinued at the end of 2018 model year and would definitely not be available for 2019. Then when Mojito appeared for 2019 they said for sure Mojito would be a short run. Then when it kept going they said for sure as soon as bikini became available Mojito would be discontinued because they just can’t paint that many colors this was ironclad. Well you can still order Mojito today and bikini so like others have pointed out, take everything with a grain of salt. If you think I’m kidding or exaggerating feel free to research Mojito.

I live near FCA HQ so always seeing vehicles that sometimes look out of place. Was traveling by one of their satellite facilities the other day and saw a JLU on the road that didn't look right. Got closer to it and it was the color that was throwing me off. It was what I would call Root Beer. A bronzy brown. Not a fan of brown but this metalic color looked pretty good. Couldn't get close enough for a picture. Have to assume it's a new color coming out.
There were rumors of a color like that for the Grand Cherokee so it would be entirely possible that it may go to the JL

I'd love to see metallic rootbeer on the JL. They had that color on the Toyotas a couple years ago. Looks great. Oddly I thought it looked like rootbeer as well when I first saw it.

Chevy has that for the Silverado, or did a few years back. I always liked it as well. Havana metallic, or Havana Brown metallic.

I want a Mojito Rubicon with Sky one. Was told Friday that the color top and a mojito sky one are neither available anymore. Now anyone that’s able to get a dealer to get one to go through...I would be shocked. Since the Jeep cares Case manager swore up and down its available...yet the next day another case manager said it was not. Tyson Motors said they cannot get it to go through..... I want one so bad! Hoping for 2019 still, I can even wait for 2020. But hope is fading.
This all because my 2019 order came in damaged and Jeep regional manager said they don’t have enough Mojito paint for the tops. So take a 56k Jeep or order a different color. What a slap in the face.

Mojito will be discontinued at some point as all unique colors are , I have a feeling that Mojito was more popular than they thought it would be and maybe they just didn’t allocate enough paint for the model year so they decided to not paint the tops. Also there was a problem in the beginning when Mojito Was launched and there was a rumor that they were having trouble with the Mojito and the painted tops and fenders, the translucent color and something.
Mojito would be a great color for the 2020 plug-in wrangler Green = Green

A Root Beer brown metallic would be different. And on the Gladiator it would look pretty good also

Normally I am not a fan of chrome or machined wheels but they would look great with a rootbeer brown.

A bronze wheel would look great as well.

Something a little different.

I think we are close to seeing 2020 colors. Maybe I should hold off..... I have my eye on a couple, but are about 400 miles away and not discounted as much as the $7,000 off I originally got with order.

ooo that could be interesting..maybe you should set up shop and find a place to park and investigate. Fly a drone around, snap some pics...let us know what you scope out.

They had a beautiful brown color for a half a year on the JK. I think it was 2015, rugged brown pearl. I always thought that it looked good.

You are correct, and I alwys believed Mojito would stick around for 2019 simply because they weren't going to release it late in the game for a short run. However, as you can see in the post below, over the last 2 to 3 months there have been several reports of people not being able to order painted tops or the sky one in Mojito, hence it is seeming more like it could be discontinued.

That's an interesting point. Maybe they allocate so much paint for tops, and didn't think the painted tops would be that popular?

The bottom line is that not being able to order a Mojito painted top wasn't just a week long computer glitch, but has been going on for a few months now, and no other color is experiencing this. That, coupled with Jeep's historical runs of 2 years for bright greens, and the future does not look good for Mojito. If I wanted Mojito, I think I'd bite the bullet now rather than take this risk (oh wait, that's exactly what I did 2 months ago! ;) )

I appreciate the feedback about the color. I was planning to order a JLUR next year and give my Renegade to the wife when she gives her Journey to the last kid at home. It is most likely a moot point now. After 13 years and $106,000 of MOPAR products (not counting parts/service, that's vehicle purchase prices) when we get rid of the current cars, we're probably going a different brand.

My baby Jeep (17 Renegade TH with 4200 miles) is in the shop (today is day 11) again. I can't get anyone at the dealer to return a phone call. The service advisor and manager seem to be avoiding me (I stopped in last week on day 5 and they were both conveniently out). I paid for the Jeep Wave thing and am supposed to have a loaner car. Thankfully my kid is out of school for the summer so I'm using his car. As soon as I can get trade in for what I owe, this ones gone. The wife's car will probably get traded in first.

FCA and it's minions have let their service drop below a standard I find acceptable and it will take a lot of persuading on their part to keep my family as customers.

This brown was a 2018 color? Is this similar?
