Hi,

This is my first ever Jeep and I just got it a few weeks ago. Its practically brand new with only 12k miles. This is the second time the check engine light has come on showing the same code.

First time it went away by it self. Now it's come on again and its also causing issues with my remote start.

Has anyone had similar issues?

Not on my Jeep, but on another car, I had this code. This other car had 70K miles on it, and what finally fixed it was taking apart the (aftermarket) air intake assembly up to the throttle body, and cleaning the dirty throttle blade with MAF sensor cleaner.

I was careful putting everything back together to ensure no leaks and everything worked great...except for when I first tried to start it. I guess I got too much MAF sensor cleaner down the intake, and the engine wouldn't start. But after a few cranks, it fired up.

Here's a thread where it's talked about. Seems to be a 2019 software issue, where a TSB was issued along with a software update. Hopefully that's all it is for you.

Question: Do you use a stock paper air filter or an oiled filter (such as K&N)?

The P0507 code is triggered when the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects that the engine is idling higher than the specified idle rpm range. The standard engine idle is usually between 600-800rpm based on the model of the vehicle
