Have you verified that no sensor is needed for the auto off/on functionality? For example, when you drive in the dark with just the new switch, do the light come on automatically in the auto position, then go off automatically in a daylight situation?

I did the exact same thing to my Sport. When the headlight switch is in auto, the lights will be on all the time and will turn off only when the vehicle turns off. A sun sensor is needed to correctly have auto headlamp functionality in addition to a BCM flash to turn the feature on. I asked Joe, the guy that makes the Tazer, to see if he can add the programming for it.

Thanks for the info! I wonder how hard it is to add the sunlight sensor?

I also already installed the sun sensor. It's a bit involved because you have to make the harness yourself and route from the HVAC module to the top of the dash where the sun sensor sits. I can send you all the parts and connectors if you're interested in doing it yourself.

That is pretty cool, is it possible you can post the parts you used for the sun sensor. That is one thing i also want to do

Thanks, I appreciate the offer! I was hoping it was as simple as adding a wire and plugging it into the sensor. But since its a bit more involved I am thinking I will pass on that mod for the moment.

Thank you so much for the pictures. Your pic with the part number got me where I needed to go quicker than I would have gotten there. Appreciate that!
