Jeep Wrangler JL 2 Dr Buy Decision IMG_0682
Short version for input: I ordered a 2 door JL in February but couldn't wait and actually got kinda angry with Jeep on the lack of information on builds, quality control issues and yada yada yada. So I ended up not taking delivery of the unit when it came in as I needed transportation 2 months before delivery.

Now I have an opportunity to buy a new Black 2 dr JL Rubi that doesn't have a couple of things I really, really would like to have. Those being leather and Infotainment and it is an automatic. I really wanted a manny, basically to save the dollars towards leather. It does have cold weather group which is a must have and a few other things like hard top insulation, engine block heater that will never get used as well as trail rail and even the Jeep trail rated kit. Things I would not have ordered.

All of that to say, the price is extremely right and they may be dinging me on trade a grand or maybe even $1,500, but the price is $5,700 off MSRP and minimal doc fee. No TTL savings in Oklahoma. I can basically get out the door with negative equity and TTL paid for right at sticker.

My dilemma is: Order a 19 and hope the myriad of gremlins (welding, steering, quality and etc) have been worked out and order the way I would want (manny tranny to save $2,000) or take the one in hand that has cloth and no infotainment but is automatic and Uconnect 4 7 inch screen? I really wanted the alpine system although I rarely crank it up anymore. Just figured it might be tech I need. Wondering what I lose with the 7 inch over the Infotainment.

Constructive opinions very much appreciated!

P.S. My financing rate is spectacular and in this rising rate environment, I don't expect cheap money to be around forever nor do I trust that Jeep won't have more price increases going forward.

Go for '19 and get exactly what you want. Waiting sucks, but you said it yourself... you really, really wanted those things :like:

Would you regret going for the compromise? I really like the leather and the infotainment. Both are well worth it in my opinion

Thank you Pangmaster. That's just it, I don't know if I would regret compromise or not. Price is right, trade is fair and etc. I like both, leather and probably infotainment as I have not had a Jeep product that had it so really don't know what I would be giving up other than Alpine system. Thank you for response. :)

Everybodys different, but for me no leather or infotainment wouldnt be a deal breaker....BUT not having the tranny you want would be. Either order or keep waiting looking around everyday till you find one that checks all your must haves.

Everyone is different, but I wouldn't even consider an automatic. I'd get it as you like it.
