Does the soft top when fully lowered block the view out of the rear view mirror?

Maybe a little bit of it. I strap it together to keep it all together, so it don't move.

Using the Velcro straps your Wrangler came with will definitely help you a little bit. Apply one on each side of the top when it’s down.

Raising the drivers seat will also help.

I don't think so and I'm vertically challenged. I do strap it to the back window bar tho with velcro straps to keep it from moving and that also brings it down more.

That's the same way I do it, to keep it from flapping around.

Hmm, I hadn't thought about putting the back window bar back in with the window out.

So I bought the Velcro straps as well in 36” x 2” but I can’t wrap mine around the top while it’s folded down. I have the premium sunrider soft top, maybe that’s why? I just can’t push the top down enough to get the straps to wrap around it. My top sits so high I can’t drive around with it blocking my rear view that much and it’s such a shame not to take advantage of a soft top.

Also, every video I’ve seen on how to fold down a soft top, after they lock the soft top they say to push down on the top and you should hear a click as it locks down even further into place. Mine doesn’t do this and I’ve always wondered if mine is broken.

Does it look like it’s sitting too high?

It's the 2dr soft top any different than the 4dr? Other than in length? This video may help.. I never hear a click but I do push down a little more like he does. Also don't forget the locks on either side. Once it's down I use the Velcro like obwahn is doing... Except I don't leave the bar in.

I hear a click on mine. Don’t forget to also secure the actual mechanism on the sides with Velcro straps (as the instructions indicate), that also helps.

When I lock my premium soft top in the down position, I usually hear the click, but not always. The owners manual does say you "may" hear a click. I do feel better if I hear the click, but I have never seen the internals of the locking mechanism so I don't know how it works.

He’s got the premium top too. I do lock the side parts but mine never pushes down like in the video. His looks like it’s sitting down pretty tight. I can hear mine bouncing up and down as I’m driving. Well, guess I better make a third trip to the dealer :crying:

I use those Velcro straps on my JLR with premium top. It’s never clicked, but I just cinch the strap (it’s snug). It helps a *lot* with rear visibility.
