Ace Engineering apparently moved manufacturing to a new facility/building or something along those lines, so I heard. Kind of stalled things a bit in regard to product going out.I talked to Ace Engineering today and they just now started production on the 2dr sliders. My order has been waiting for over a month now. I think they might fit the bill for a step too. I'm hoping they provide just a bit of tire slinging protection.
The POC or Priced Order Confirmation is generated when the order is place. The Build Sheet could be referring to the POC or it could be referring to the Equipment Listing sheet that is generated when the Jeep is built. Is the POC and the build sheet the same thing?
Do you have Rubicon? If not, I really like my JCR rock sliders.I'm loving the 2 door manual.
Finding out more and more as I go. Love the adjustable gauges, new off road pages, and this lovely V6. It really likes being pushed. 3-4k rpm and it moves along just fine. It's more comfortable and quieter. What's not to love?
So...
Anyone have a lead on 2 door armor? Skid plates and rock sliders with a bit more of a step are on my list next.
I have no quibble with the camaraderie of those purists that love the two door Wrangler...I am also firmly entrenched in that camp! My point is the topic of this thread is "Build/Order Discussions". This thread is far removed from that! A simple name change that better suits what this thread is about will preserve the discussion.Maybe there is another Thread that is more of what you want to hear. That's OK
as you can be on two Threads. All these people here mean a lot to me. They became
part of my life through all the BS we had. I will always know their names and the fun
we had and still will in the future.
I VOTE to change nothing.
I do have a Rubicon. The stock sliders may do but I want something to keep the rocks further away, have a step, and help with the little rocks flug by the tires. I like JCR's sliders in that they have the rock lights built in, but those things are bank. They also require riveting the tub.Do you have Rubicon? If not, I really like my JCR rock sliders.
I say leave this thread title ... leave the thread alone!I have no quibble with the camaraderie of those purists that love the two door Wrangler...I am also firmly entrenched in that camp! My point is the topic of this thread is "Build/Order Discussions". This thread is far removed from that! A simple name change that better suits what this thread is about will preserve the discussion.
I'm hoping that @cedxc2005 can offer some info since he sat in the back of mine for a short jaunt. Maybe he can say whether or not he felt it could be ok for longer or not. Other than that I myself have never even tried my back seat to be honest. It has been out and wrapped up more than it has been installed.Hi! Long time lurker on the thread, about to order my first Jeep! This thread has been so great to read this past year for a newbie like me, thanks to everyone for their knowledge and overall great attitudes It's really helped me decide that a Jeep and a 2 door is for me.One question I haven't seen any info on (i think) is, how comfortable is the back seat in the 2 door? I'm intending my Jeep to be a 2 seater for 99.99999% of the time, but in the very few instances where passengers will be back there, will they be comfortable for a longer distance than just across town?
I'm most likely ordering my Jeep from out of state, so the drive back will be at least a couple of days. If I bring a couple people with me, would the 3rd person in the back be miserable for 2 days of 8+ hours of driving?
Good to know. I'd say that long a trip is a pretty good indicator.@hopetojeep
Actually, in the back of my JL Rubi, 2 dr. is quite comfortable. The few times (3) I have had a passenger back there we have traveled say 400 miles plus and they always claimed it was comfortable, good view and more positive things.
The thread title definitely needs to be updated. It is about the farthest off topic thread on the whole board now!![]()
Darn restriction, I can’t believe it! Nevertheless, I can’t imagine you’ll have to wait a second long as the 2018 wait! If it’s going too slowly, sign up with JG (can I name it now, or are we still on restriction?)I just ordered my 2019 Wrangler Rubicon in Mojito. The steel bumper group is on restriction as well as in general 24R group. I received my VON number immediately
Thanks. That's some good input then.@obwahn No, the gal was 22 yo.
