So I called the 866 # this time. They also said I am in I. Been there 11 days, and he said it’s 2 weeks on average. That’s all he could tell me.
Can one of you please explain to me, the outside vendors, for hard top, liner, and God knows what else come next, right? And are you in same I status while all these additions are put on?
Tnx!

Unfortunately, "I" and "JB", which is where certain options are added after the main build, occur sequentially, and not in parallel. If you need to go to "JB", it will occur after your progress out of "I".

The hard top liner seems to be the option sending most vehicles to extended stays in "JB" status. I have recently read that soft tops are also installed after the build by this same external contractor so that too could lead to an extended stay in "JB". I've heard it said on this forum that Rubicon Decals and floor mats are done there as well, but I've not seen evidence of that. My Rubi build never entered "JB", so I'm assuming the decals were applied by the hood supplier.

That doesn't sound right. I went from I to KZ in a few hours. I would call and and see what the next person tells you.

877 yesterday said I, and now 866 just now. I think I’ll just wait a day or 2, I’m afraid they’ll say D or something...
He also said he does not know anything additional...

Just checked jeep.com and my 2 door Sting-Gray Rubicon is in transit. I ordered 10 Apr. Pic shows a soft top but it has black hard top.

Just noticed the 1911 in your name. Is it perhaps in reference to John Browning's creation? I shoot USPSA single stack and shoot as well as work a lot of IDPA matches. Love my 1911's!
It is! Next time I am in upstate NY, we can peruse each other's Jeeps and 1911 collections.

At least our Jeeps are built and the biggest wait is behind us. The finish line is in sight! However it really doesn't make the remaining wait much easier.

Unfortunately, it is not at all uncommon to be in "I" for days to weeks. Most do go through that stage in an hour or two at the end of the build for a last inspection. If it comes out clean, it's almost immediately released to the shipper and you go to "KZ" status.

However, if any quality issues are found, your build is taken out of the factory and stored until it can get into a garage for repairs. FCA has admitted around a 2500 vehicle backlog at any given time waiting for repairs. It seems that 2 weeks is the nominal time to get through that backlog and get your vehicle fixed. You remain in "I" status all that time.

In some rare cases, a determination is made that the issue cannot be reasonably addressed and will fail "I" status. In that situation FCA submits a clone of your original order for a new replacement build. It's happened to a few on this forum.

I called 877 Saturday afternoon, they told me "I". I now know I was on a train. Some time back, I recall someone quoting the chat people as having a system that is only updated every 48 hours. That may be true?

Thanks for the info. Despite the long wait, and seeing people take delivery who ordered after me I consider myself lucky to be just waiting for a truck.

All these Letters For Status get confusing. I was in KZ for 24 days. (Apr.25 to May 18)
in the storage yard at Swanton Ohio. I know they moved it Friday May 18th to
Nitro Shipping Yard. I think (just a guess) KZ-L the "L" is for loading. As the KZ-L
is in the Traffic Code section.

I see you're on the tracking service whose name we may not speak. That service shows you are in KZ status, that your vehicle has been loaded on a rail car and it departed the Toledo yard at 3:07 AM yesterday. Given that level of detail, and the demonstrated accuracy of that data, why are you even bothering with 877 and 866? Just follow your delivery on that site, which is updated two to three times a day, and be done with it.
