I didn’t have time to do the paperwork today but I got to take a short drive. I should be able to pick it up tomorrow.

Congratulations! Things are definitely picking up. Hoping the shipping does as well!

Since you are in build, parts availability for those two options isn’t an issue. However, headliners get installed by a third party after you leave the factory which guarantees you go into JB status. The installer has been backlogged as evidenced by the fact that @cedxc2005 has been in JB for exactly one month as of today. Hopefully, that’s an outlier.
Yep. JB still today. Maybe I should mark that date just to see how long it really took...

Hello my unicorn Jeep peeps...
Today did not go as planned. Vida is spending the night at the dealer. I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon working directly with the sales manager to hopefully get things settled. Fingers crossed. Happy thoughts. Positive vibes. Send them all our way, please & thanks.
I'm so disappointed for you. Hope all goes well tomorrow!!!

Was at the dealer today to get my truck serviced.. I asked the salesman to check on our Jeep..He printed me the POC.
It is now showing D1. Plant has sequenced the unit for production. It shows an estimated ship date of June 2 at 1:00 AM.
Does this actually mean something? Should I get excited?

Do you have a PST or turbo? If no to neither YES but realize it may get built June 2 but it will still take awhile to receive.

81 days and I made it to D1 status. Under event it was "VIN ASSIGNMENT". LOL! I'm stoked because I was starting to doubt my dealer of ever putting in my order.
I know. I was thinking the same thing when they did mine. Nice to have a VIN and order code.

Thanks, I hope it gets to you soon. I've had my 2 door Rubi Turbo on order since 2/8. Dealer told me about 2 weeks ago that it was scheduled to be built on 5/14 with an estimated ship date of 5/16. Both dates have come and gone and I am still sitting in D1.
My dealer tells me an estimated ship date of 5/30 but we’ll see.

@jman, can you measure the distance between the bottom of the door and the ground? Need to know if I need steps for my girlfriend
:cwl:

(My girl might not like it if she needs steps again.)

Amen, 2-10-18 pst...still in D. If the pst’ers switch to hardtop does it speed the delivery?

KZ, released from factory shipping pending.
Nice that it’s built, hopefully it gets on its way soon.
Anyone know what plant the 2 doors are built at?

Yes and Yes. Your build is finally scheduled, which was the most significant milestone for me in the whole frustrating build process. It took three months for me to get to that point, after which the vehicle was built 3 weeks later - roughly the same schedule you're on.

However, you're not out of the woods yet. D1 status can linger beyond the ship date or be reverted to D, but that looks to be relatively rare now that 2drs are well into production. I seem to recall that yours is a soft top, which if true, avoids the potential headliner installation delay that can add weeks after build. Also, here's hoping you don't find yourself in "I" status after the build, which means that a quality issue needing repair has been found. That too can take weeks.

To end on a positive note, deliveries to Canada seem to be unaffected by the rail car and truck shortages currently affecting US deliveries. There's not too many data points for Canadian orders, but those that I've seen are in transit within a week. The biggest issue I see in the US regard vehicles needing to be transloaded from train to truck partway through the delivery and sit in yards for weeks. Not seeing a parallel for Canadian orders.

No one can say for sure, but I doubt it would. PST's are confirmed building now, and seeing how rapidly 2dr production has ramped up in the past couple of weeks, I'd expect the same for PST production.

I wouldn't give up what you want in an attempt for earlier delivery that has no guarantee of coming any sooner.
