2 DOOR JL build/order discussions master thread

I travel a lot for my work, from
SoCal to Midwest and east coast.
I've been searching every Jeep dealer, just to glimpse the elusive 2dr, even if it's before delivery to an early buyer.

No such luck.... from Dayton Ohio, to central and Fairfield Connecticut, to New Jersey and Philadelphia area, to now down here around Sarasota Fl..... nothing to be found.

However, there are a lot of four door JLs, loaded to the nines on the lots... and an ample but dwindling supply of JK two doors.
Dealers are all saying 'at least six more weeks'.

I suspect FCA has not only supplier and delivery issues, but may purposely be holding back dealer supply of two doors to clear out the majority of the JKs first.
So much for my getting one before my early July trip to Cape Cod.

Then again.... my JK wrangler is fine, with low miles, and really this is a first world non- problem when you get down to it.

Your reasoning sounds spot on. That’s what they did with the jlu’s, held them back to clear the jk’s.
They want to clear the overabundance of the more expensive stock jlu’s.

I think bs how they are treating the 2 door orders. Especially the bs they feed us on the PST delays and how they keep pumping out the 4 door PST. Now I'm considering getting a 2 door JLR with a hard top since I've found 3 canceled orders on my surrounding states that are to be delivered any day now..

Tomorrow is 126 days for me. I'm just plain pissed off! No reason for this nonsense whatsoever!

149 days for me and there is nothing about the ordeal that's been right. Even if i don't cancel, delivery will be bitter sweet and I will always have a bad feeling towards FCA. It may be too late to change and I think I'll buy something else.

Another big concern, if this is how we are treated when we are trying to give them money, just think if we have an issue and need support......it will be non-exsistent

Tomorrow, Monday will be week one (7 days) from when my Dealer called and said the JL is loaded and on its way. This is the second time it will have happened, the first ran to about 2 weeks and 4 days before getting the revised news. This being Sunday and all, I have a lot of faith that it is really on the way this time. It is just getting harder to wait.

I picked up my Sting Gray 2 door Rubicon on 5/11/18 at the dealer. Ordered on 3/5/18. D1 on 4/15/18. Loving every minute of it!

Just got off the phone with JL Dedicated Customer Service. I have had no updates anywhere besides D status until just now. They said it is in KZ (shipping) status and just went into it (shows for 0 days.) I hope this is right-I asked the guy to double check. So if this is correct, great news for us-PST ordered 12/7/17.

Nice, Sting gray, so do the driver and passenger side seats have pull up levers on top of them to slide the seats forward? Pictures of each side would help.

I haven’t seen Swanton on anything of mine. There are a few people in NY state who have said they are listed in Nitro.
