not truly as we have done 10 day trips in our 2 door JK, which i think we could extend with proper planning. i am exploring a very small trailer, tho im leaning more n more against it bought one and let it go again. the smallness requires very careful gear selection but everyones always suprised when we set up a very cozy camp

Agreed, I have been D since a few days after I ordered on January 26; still D. So, it appears at best I will have a June delivery. I cannot take delivery and my road trip back to Austin in June (international trip and work stuff). July delivery then IF it gets built and shipped late May/early June? a 5+ month wait . . .

Same here. On the Beastie Boys and almost 50 thing! I was never a big fan back in the day but over time and age came to appreciate some of their music. Same for a few other bands of the era.

50 here, sadly gone are the days when little talent and raucous passion was enough. The pursuit of musical perfection has killed all genres of modern music damnit.

We've finally had a few nice days here and I took a drive past my local dealer. It's like a Jeep ghost town compared to what it looked like two weeks ago. Even most of the JKs are gone which they had tons of before. I suspect the same thing will start happening to all dealers soon. Maybe our theories of dirt cheap JKs is totally off base.

Same here, went to a local dealership to test out the manual today, they had 14 JL’s and 8 or 9 JK’s two weeks ago now down to 3 JL’s and about 6 JK’s they said they started selling like crazy this past week. They had 4 manuals on the lot two weeks ago, they now have none.

Back to basic fun. I am adding the "BlackVue" camera system. I want to
add power steps. "Ace" has a nice set @ $1300.00. Do any of you know
any others that are real nice I should consider? We have time as none
have been fabbed up for the fit yet.

we know of no one that has kept them once they started to run trails. two neighbors have them on their pavement pounders and they do ok. they work sometimes and sometimes they dont. when they work they do make entrance much easier. i dont know their brands but they were in that price range.

No, the pursuit of money (by producers, record companies, etc.) coupled with $.99 downloads and “free” streaming has killed music. It’s so sad that the only way my teenage sons can see real, live music is on my dime (artists can only make $$ touring nowadays, and Ticketmaster/Live Nation sell the bulk of seats to scalpers like Stub Hub and the like). I’ve taken them to Lenny Kravitz, Guns ‘N Roses, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Iron Maiden, and Jewel. For the cost of those tickets we could have gone on vacation... I hear it costs even more for today’s pop acts (I say acts, not artists).

What happened to waiting in line at Filene’s for a wrist band and $30 tickets?!

Oh, well...

I was never a huge Beastie Boys fan, but at least they could play instruments (as well as any punk band, anyway). Plus, who didn’t love the “Fight for your right” video on MTV?

IMO, the pursuit for musical perfection was in the 60s and 70s with bands like Mahavishnu Orchestra, Gentle Giant, Weather Report, ELP, Cream, etc. Now we have ‘Lil Dumb Dumb “shredding” on guitar, instead:
