It does look awesome! But.... just a render. And debate is ongoing if they will make 2 door models. Plus it won’t be available until 2019 at the earliest and will be a first gen/new gen release with who knows what issues. Cost? Who knows!these will be available before our 2 drs.
One thing I learned when buying my last car is there is always something new and better coming out “soon”, draped behind a cover and mystery. And more often than not it does not meet the dream people had prior to the full reveal.

I asked my dealer for an update on my order. He forwarded me an email from FCA with the new order status hotline info. Didn't even say a word extra. Apparently FCA created the hotline because the dealers can't handle the volume of requests for updates.

Exactly. The parts that are definitely shared, and those highly likely to be shared, is a long list. Wiring harness, body panels, rear driveshaft, frame, those are definitely different.

The Jeep order status phone line just told me I am in KZ status, but she seemed unsure of her answer somehow, so Im taking it with a grain of salt. Yesterday I was in D1, so Im not sure if KZ already is realistic. If i go by past experience when I call tomorrow Im going to be back in D again

Same boat, but I've been in KZ status for a week, after being in JS status for a week. I guess there's a shortage of rail stock to move those Jeeps! Tough knowing your 2dr is built and ready, but sitting in a warehouse / lot while Jeep configures shipping options. Jeep Chat gave me an ETA of mid May for pickup, I guess I'll be waiting till then.

Ordered March 9 (I believe that's the day my dealer put it in) and when I just checked on the Jeep site I was able to pull up my equipment listing / build sheet. I'm guessing this means I have moved on from D status? I was D status as of about a month ago when I last inquired about it. When I've tried to bring up that build sheet in the past to check that the options were correct, it has said it was unavailable.
My Jeep: 2 door, Standard, Red, Hard top, A/C, Anti-slip rear axle
edit - To answer my own question, looking more closely at the build sheet it has a note indicating a staus change from D to D1.
