Wanted to thank everyone on this thread because I’ve learned so much about the upcoming production of the 2 door JLs. For what it’s worth, Jeep Chat informed me yesterday (4/10) that my 2-door Sport S, firecracker red, manual, hardtop, with towing, heated seats, and technology packages is in D1 status. I ordered on March 26. I’m looking forward to seeing pictures of everybody’s new Wranglers!

I ordered a jlu months ago.... still only exisys on paper so screw it today im ordering 2 door. Wonder which will be here first (fingers crossed its the 2 door, screw what hunny thinks, 4 door for the space, whatever) i love the 2 door.

I wouldn't believe anything they say. You're wasting your time. Ask your dealer for info. They should have more accurate information.

It's about getting as much information as possible from a variety of sources and basing your conclusion on that. I speak with my dealer on a regular basis and Jeep Chat twice a day. This is the first time Jeep Chat has given me an exact date as to when premium soft tops will go into production. While their information has been spotty at best, it is new information and should be weighed accordingly.

Someone on the last page or so mentioned they were in D1 with a standard soft top.

It seems like we have enough anecdotal evidence to conclude that only hard tops went D1. I guess I’ll go back to waiting. Oh, well.

I am super excited for someone to get theirs next month, though. I can’t wait for the pictures and reviews!
