I will keep doing Jeep Chat every week or so. Not because I expect any meaningful information, but strictly for entertainment. I find it interesting that you get different information depending on which rep you get.

About 3 weeks in and have not bothered with the Jeep chat. Given the wide range of answers posted here I doubt I will even bother. The Jeep Chat responses remind of

We get a 4 week delay every 2-3 weeks, so we're due for one.

So far I have only seen 4 reps from jeep chat sara, Cheryl Darrin and Michael., and I've chatted way more then 4 times. I have a sneakin suspicion there is 30-40 people in India who work for jeep, and only get updated information once a month by carrier pigeon .

Was just told that 2-Door production will start April 19th now..

I was on the line for 30 min, she went to her "Jeep Specialist" for that info.

God I hope shes wrong..

I have officially decided to ditch my 2018 order and go for a 2019. It will just kill me to get my Jeep and then two months later everybody’s going to be talking about and ordering 2019’s. there’s obviously some production issues and I want to let them get that all sorted out. Also and I know this is stupid but parts and questions are also always going to be a hassle when you say I have a 2018 jeep they’re going to ask is it the JK or the JL or you’ll just get the wrong parts. It’s always going to be a hassle when they make two different vehicles in the same model year. Right now all this is fresh in everybody’s mind in five years from now when you say you have a 2018 jeep everybody will think JK when you go for parts. And don’t even go into a dealership for parts without your Vin number in hand for your 2018 jeep they won’t be able to help you. LOL when you say I have a 2019 jeep everybody will know what you’re talking about.

Remember next year they're going to produce the 4 drs first again, and you could wind up in the exact same spot you're in now!

Had made up my mind to cancel my order, and my dealer contacted me letting me know I’m in D-1. Confirmed it on Jeep Chat too.

I originally ordered back in December, but moved to Dennis Dillon. My order was placed on 10 Feb, and is a Granite Rubicon with a hard top, the Electronic Infotainment System Group, and the HD towing group. No LEDs

OK, For what it is worth, my dealer told me today that his factory rep said production of 2 doors officially starts Monday 4/9/18 and my Sport S, 6cyl, manual, hard top is scheduled to be built 4/10/18. My order date was 12/18/17.

I was at the dealer Tuesday. I was asking about the new Ram. He said I should take one for a drive, so I did. Very nice but $75,000. Ouch.
Back to the point.. This is a 2019 model which I can buy right now. WTF .. Is this the same company?
