I’m sticking it out for the premium soft top. Figured I’d check with chat and still in D (60 days). She said premium soft tops are not scheduled to arrive for production until mid May. Not sure how accurate that is, but I didn’t ask her just just offered that up when she looked at order and saw it was a soft top.Chat agrees with D1 status!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Two pages back Jeep chat told someone mid April for the soft tops, sooooooo...... who knows. I am sticking it out for the soft top as well, see no reason to compromise on what I want.
I’m right there with u. We have a 2 door hard top and a top lift pro to remove top in summer, not interested in doing it for 2 vehicles. Besides on vacations your stuck with top on (unless you want to kill yourself getting it off and store it somewhere), so to me soft top is the only option for me.
Hey James, I said the same thing to my dealer Thursday evening, after four days of no response from his FCA rep. My order date 12/13/19, Rubicon hardtop. Three months in D. So of course the dealer calls at 8:00 today, and supposedly I’ve moved to D1 with a ship date 5/5.I want to be cautiously optimistic, but all the rumors of 30K in backlog JLs...who knows.
I believe it more then what jeep chat is telling us. Have you visited any jeep dealers lately? There are 5 dealers I have to drive by on a weekly bases. So of course I do,a quick cruise of the parking lot and back lots to see if I can spot a punk'n metallic jeep. The one thing I noticed at all the dealers is, none of them have a lot of jl's 2 or 4 dr .well no 2's at all and only a few 4 drs, but they all had a few dozen jk's on the lot. So something is definitely holding up the JL's

Kyle Davis: I've seen people moving to D1 status that have ordered two-door JLs, so saying they are waiting for the second phase is a lie.
Sarah: · Order is in the scheduling phase of the manufacturing process.
· The parts required to build the vehicle are being scheduled and as soon as they available and ready, order will be scheduled for build.
· Most orders are scheduled for build within 30 days after reaching this stage.
Kyle Davis: I received that answer more than 30 days ago, so that means that my order should have been scheduled for a build.
Kyle Davis: Please give me a human answer, not a copy/paste answer.
Sarah: I also informed you that there is a delay in the second phase of the production which is not a lie this is the information that I am provided with, I would recommend checking back with us for updates as it should be entering the next phase soon.
Kyle Davis: So your update is there is no update. Thanks for the runaround once again.
