With the summer months almost here in Florida; I am researching headliners in an attempt to keep some of the heat from radiating from the roof into the Jeep which affects how well the A/C works on those HOT and HUMID days (June thru October).
Xtreme terrain and Quadratec are two of many online sellers; so I am curious what your experiences and recommendations are on what has or has not worked well for you.

TIA

There are some good deals on butyl material on eBay as well as other insulation material for self application. I plan to add it and then add a green screen sunshade front to back to hide the ugly. I am not a top remover. I will also replace my tires when these knobby things are done. My purpose is to improve alpine sounds and keep cool. I'm in Tampa area with my 1st jeep, 2022 high velocity Rubicon. Looking forward to other ideas.

I'm in Florida too...just installed these on my 2-door, Husky Guardian headliner kit. Easy install with high-quality 3M stick. They look fantastic, definitely block some heat, and slightly improve the audio, especially my Fosgate 10" sub. They're $199 at Extreme Terrain, but Quadratec sells them for $169, but out-of-stock. I asked Extreme if they price match, and they did. Quad has a few more pics of them...really nice quality.

Two questions.

Did you have to take the top off to install the panels? Most of the kits I’ve looked at want you to take the top off and turn it upside down.

Do you think it quiets down the interior? I have a 2021 two door Willys hardtop that is my winter Jeep but it squeaks and creeks on bumpy roads. My summer Jeep is a 2022 four door Rubicon soft top that with the top up, I believe to be quieter than the hard top. I’m interested in trying to make the two door quieter.

NO, did not take the roof off. Test fit the headliner first. Pull the protective tapes off from the back, leaving maybe a foot still on at the front, letting the tapes hang off the side. When it's position & stuck, gently pull the tapes all the way off. I did remove front roof panels to install the headliners.

With the headliner in place, the Jeep is cooler, and the noise is somewhat reduced, but I doubt it will fix squeaks & rattles. Check all your top bolts, and if you can, check the big bolts underneath that attach the body to the frame...

In Arizona when it is over 110 degrees, I find the windows and dashboard emit and contribute to raising the inside temp affect more than the roof panels do. I also find thd A/C system is more than efficient and does not work very hard in the auto mode with the temp set at 75 degrees, even when the vehicle has set in the hot sun for awhile. It cools down very quickly.

I also have find that the A/C system is very efficient even in the southern Gulf States and southern Texas and adding something to the roof panels more than likely will not be of any benefit or have any affect at all.

I looked up the Husky headliners on Quadratec and Extreme Terrain and asked the AI about the price matching. I was asked for my name and phone number so a salesman could call.
Received the call about 5 minutes later and asked if they would in fact price match.
Initially the salesman balked at the price matching and asked if Qs price included shipping; I stated YES... When I pushed the total price matching; he then stated I see you have purchased from us before for a TJ, JK and XJ. He states again that he needs to talk to his Lead... When he comes back he quotes me a price and I asked him if this is on $199.99 or $169.99. I asked him what tax rate he was charging. He stated he needed to talk to his Lead again. The he asked IF Quadratec provides FREE shipping and again I stated YES.... I am on their website and can confirm that. He checks Qs website and comes back confirming what I stated.
End result is I get the $169.99 price with tax on $169.99 and I should receive the headliner on Monday.

A little research and push back on the salesman and the lower Q price is honored.

Quadratec also has a forum member discount you can get by calling in on top of their price. It used to apply automatically online, but something about their system getting swapped that makes it so you have to call in.

I used the Boom Mat brand I got on Amazon on my '24 4 door, and I am very pleased with them. They are not cheap, but I did a lot of research and the consensus was that they were well worth the money. But, buy once, cry once, and thankfully, the reviews were not wrong!
I am in AZ, and so far, rock solid in our many days of 100+ temps. They made a huge difference in both heat and sound reductions. (To be honest, now passenger train loud instead of freight train loud at highway speeds... LOL - but it's a Jeep thing.)
They were cut perfectly for the recesses in the top, including the edges all being beveled very precisely. The glue is serious business - you will not get a chance to reposition once applied!
I took the top off and put it upside down on a packing mat and used rubbing alcohol to thoroughly clean, and I could not be happier with the results. I did not do the rear window surrounds, seemed like little gain for the money.
Here is a link for the set that should fit your 2 door: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08D6S5PGM?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1

Received the package yesterday which was ordered and shipped on Friday.
Wiped the inside mounting surface of the hardtop with isopropyl alcohol.
Test fit the rear panels before pealing the tape and inserting the panels at an angle between the soundbar and the hardtop works the best for me.
Pealed back the paper from the 3M tape within 4" of the front end, installed the panels and removed the paper from the tape.
The overall installation time of the panels front and rear along with cleaning the inside hardtop mounting surface with alcohol was approximately and hour.
The panels fit well; I will know more on how well the panels insulate from heat/cool as time goes on.

I have the OEM headliner in my 2dr. I find it lowers road noise and no doubt helps with keeping the cabin a tad cooler.

And the summer Texas sun really heats things up after 10 am each morning.
