Dear All,

I'm having a weird sound coming out from my 2.0 turbo engine.
The sound is occurring when the engine is warm and after a drive not on cold start.

When turned on, low RPM and major ticking sound comes up.

The dealer could not find the problem and fix it after more than 7 visits.

Is this common, please advise.

I was getting my "don't worry about it, the 2.0L is a noisy engine" comment ready, then I watched the video... Yeahhh, you're gonna wanna take that bad boy to a *competent* shop before it blows on the freeway.

If the shop you have been going to can't find the source of the ticking, then they aren't trying very hard. I'd say it is likely some kind of valve train damage and I wouldn't want to keep driving it like that.

It goes away after 10 sec after turning on the Engine and not on cold start it occurs only when the car is warm.

I took it to the local dealer and they dnt knw what they are doing unless when the Check Engine light is on, in my case it is not

What oil and filter are you using,? Hopefully the recommended oil and filter for the 2.0 T you see in the manual. Hard to determine without this factor being taken into account.

Oh the fact that it goes away after 10 seconds changes things a bit. When was the last time you changed the oil?

It was like that since I purchased it (0 miles on it)

I have changed the oil as I expected the same but no luck.
I’m using mopar genuine oil that comes in the manual
